My wife and I ate here several times - every time we could when visiting Mill valley on two different occasions on November 2019 and January 2020. We hosted family and friends and they we just as pleased as we were. One of us is gluten sensitive and a vegetarian and Thep Lela was able to easily accommodate. I especially enjoyed the soups.

Thep Lela has always been consistent. Consistently good. But our meal last night was exceptional. The squid appetizer was tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The green papaya salad was tasty, and the duck curry was (as it always was) fantastic - put that sauce on anything! We'll be coming here more often.

Have had wonderful meals here in the past, has gone way downhill, recent visit at end of June was disappointing. Much more focus given to take out customers than to dine in. Just as someone brings food/drink/takes order, don/t expect to see again for a long time. Quality of food is half of past experiences. Help wanted sign on front door shows that maybe staff should be treated better, they seem very unhappy.

Enjoyed delicious and satisfying take out which friends ordered. Egg rolls were very good and the curry and salad dishes were full of great veggies with tasty flavors. About $20 pp food only.

When Thep Lela opened in Mill Valley over 20 years ago, most of us didn't know much about Thai food. This family-owned restaurant has consistently set the standard for thai cuisine in the area. Consistently good and a go-to place for many locals, it's located near the rear of the Strawberry Shopping Mall in Mill Valley, with ample parking.

Food is generally okay. What's not okay is being charged an additional $4 "surprise" when I compared the receipt of what I authorized against what got charged to my credit card.

We heard that this was “the best Thai” in Mill Valley so we decided to try it. Lovely decor, dedicated staff and a really good menu. As in most Thai restaurants everyone gets something and you share...WE had a lovely dinner. topped off with the traditional fried banana and coconut ice-cream...so good.

Been visiting Thep Lela for many years. They are consistently the best Thai food you can get in Marin. Every dish -- especially the lamb and the eggplant -- are outstanding

We have been going to Thep Lela now for years, and it is always consistently delicious and expertly prepared, fresh, quality ingredients. Pad Thai with shrimp is excellent as well as any of the curries.

Friends and I called ahead for take out and we were not disppointed. Delicious egg rolls, mango salad with a tasty sauce (too little of it), a vegetarian dish with egg plant, brown rice and a yellow curry dish. It was ready on time, tasty and filled us up.

I came here with a group of old friends, mostly vegetarian, for dinner. We enjoyed the fresh wraps, a vegetarian spring roll of uncommonly good quality. There was also an interesting appetizer of deep fried sweet potatoes. It was served with a dipping sauce of honey and rice vinegar with some crushed peanuts. I would suggest adding a bit of bite with some chili and perhaps a bit more of a sour note to achieve the balance of tastes that is the hallmark of Thai cuisine. For my dinner I had the yellow curry with tofu which was very gently and well prepared. I also sampled an eggplant dish that was very nicely done.
It is a quiet place, good for conversation with old friends. Service was friendly and prompt. Our server was willing to snap some pictures of us.

We went here for lunch with our son. It was one of his favorite lunch spots. It was not crowded, so we were seated quickly. The menu contained items that I would expect on a Thai menu, nothing special. Service was good. Food was good. Portions were large. Price was moderate.
