Mill Valley Market deli and prepared food section are just part of the market's appeal. It's a place to shop and to meet your friends, because most everyone goes there at one time or another. During blackouts last year they invited people to charge phones and computers using their exterior outlets, and because they had their own generator, they didn't close the store as others did. They make a lot of their own food and have a great gourmet food selection and meat market, and their vegetable section includes lettuces from their own farm. The owners give generously to local organizations. They're irreplaceable!

I know it is silly but a great Butcher can inspire you to make a great meal. Mill Valley Market has just that. The butchers behind the meat counter know what they are doing and do it well. The rest of the lovely market supports all that you will need and then some. Go in and start with the meat counter!

We use MVM as our primary food store and have for decades. They sell pretty much everything we need and we know where it is all located. Staff helpful.

This market is s neighbored treasure. It has nice people and a great selection of wine. Located in downtown Mill Valley next to the old Train Depot and redwood trees, you will get a sense of the locals too! Get a sandwich and eat it in the plaza.

On your way to hike Mt Tam or picnic? This is one of the best market/deli/sandwich shops in Marin. Their cheese and wine selections are deep and the sandwiches are top creations. I’ve worked in Mill Valley for 20 years and have a lunch selection once a week. Never fail to find a delicious offering. The prices are slightly higher than the average but you do get what you pay for.

This is a grocery store not a restaurant. I see no place to say that as the template offered by Trip Advisor is for a restaurant.
This grocery store is one of the business foundations of our town. They have their own farm and buy as locally as possible. They too offer opportunities to support any one of several dozen local charities. For these reasons, it is great to buy from them.

Atmosphere is retro to the 1970s and 1980s. Friendly, long term employees, and family-run business. The soups are self-serve and outstanding-especially the butternut squash. Excellent rotissiere chicken as well. A market with high quality food and a friendly atmosphere. Most people take ready made food out to Mill Valley town square and eat outside-very pleasant.

Their to go food is always excellent.
The movie theater is right across the street. This way you can take healthy food with you.
The town of Mill Valley is charming.
Take your food to Old Mill Park for a picnic. Park is surrounded by redwoods and a creek. Above the park is one of the prettiest libraries.

We know about Safeway and Costco (too big, too many choices) BUT MILL VALL,EY MARKET is jus the right size and the quality of produce, meats, wine and bakery goods are the best. It's a pleasure to shop there, the size is right and so are the prices Try it!

The Mill Valley Market, located in the heart of Mill Valley has something for everyone.The produce section is well stocked. The butcher is first rate and there is someone to talk to, unlike Safeway. The deli is awesome and the wine selection is among the best in Marin.
