17 of us stayed at the castell courtyard for my cousins hen do. We booked tea and prosecco at the plough which was a surprise for the bride to be. Needless to say all our needs were met, we were greeted by prosecco in tubs of ice on the tables, lovely selection of sandwiches and a delicious selection of tea... More

Called in on our way to our rental cottage. Couple of great pints of rel ale sitting by the roaring fire and a bowl of water for our dog. Did not eat but the food looked excellent.

Two years ago we moved to Llanhraeadra, knowing very few people. After a day of furniture moving, the village is were we headed. The Plough Inn looked very inviting so we ordered a meal and drinks. The food great, the atmosphere brilliant. The owners Tom and Jane are fantastic, the team in the pub are attentive and friendly. We were... More

Enjoyed a lovely evening meal at this country pub as part of our holiday at a nearby B and B, seemed very popular with a mix of locals and fellow tourists on a Friday night without it being unpleasantly crowded, friendly young woman on the bar who fussed our dog more than she fussed us! We felt very welcome, good... More

My family had a lovely couple of hours at the Plough on Sunday afternoon, enjoyed local beef roasted to perfection served with proper hone made Yorkshire puddings! asked to sit in the bar rather than the restaurant area, chatted to some friendly locals and the management couple who were very helpful at pointing out directions to the beautiful lake vrymry... This is one of two pubs I have used locally for years (the other being the equally charming Railway Inn), the pub provides a great mix of excellent food, friendly service and a 'locals' bar showing sporting fixtures. The staff and management are always welcoming, polite and good humoured - I cannot recommend it highly enough.

What a lovely old pub. The couple behind the bar could not have been more welcoming and a roaring fire always helps. The local beef was delicious and the portion gigantic, the vegetables retained some bite and not left to heat for hours. At £50 for 4 including the drinks I'm not sure I could fault that. Well done The... More

Having arrived in the village after a 3 hour journey we were recommended this venue. we were welcomed by the staff and even some of the locals - this is not a local pub just for locals....we felt very welcome. We were advised should have booked for a Friday evening, however they managed to cater for us. Food menu had... More

Excellent Sunday lunch enjoyed here with the family, sat outside in the sunshine, friendly and efficient service, great food - tasty yorkshire puds and a good selection if ouddings and traditional ice creams. Beautiful village for a stop off.

The Plough Country Inn is a traditional country pub with restaurant and rooms, freshly prepared food, local meats and well sourced foods. We are popular with locals and tourists, families welcome, dog friendly, we welcome groups of walkers / cyclists. It is probably best to book at weekends.
