Checked the Web site; 'open 12 to 6' So we went for lunch about 1.30 to find it closed, with no notice to explain why. If negative comments are not wanted then perhaps an explanatory note would help to assuage the disappointment.

We called in this afternoon after a 4 hour walk up the croesor valley and the hills above it. Great friendly service and an abundant supply of free water to quench our thirsts before enjoying a lovely pot of tea and the quarry man’ a...More

The Oriel Caffi should have been open today - Friday - checked the website before setting off to have lunch there. Disappointed that there was no mention on the website as it's quite a trek to get to. Needs to be more informative.More

Many apologies for not being more informative. Unfortunately, it was an oversight on my part in that I have not had the chance to change the opening hours on here and on the website. It would be much more helpful if you could have messaged...More

We sampled this cafe for the first time after a long walk along the valley below Cnicht and found it lovely. An old stone building with enormous fireplace and slightly boho style. We enjoyed our large mugs of creamy-tasting hot chocolate very much, along with...More

Apologies hungryveganfamily for not being open, but we clearly state both here, on our website and on our facebook page that we are closed during the winter months. Unfortunately, the overheads are just too great for the volume of visitors we get and the adverse...More

Hi, We would have welcomed an e-mail discussing this review rather than posting it on here, particularly as your visit was made at Easter nearly 10 months ago. As the owner of the caffi business I would never have turned away customers in the manner...More

It was a pleasant surprise to find this lovely old property in a very quiet village. Good food was prepared to order. Staff were lighting fire in enormous fireplace when we entered. We enjoyed our food, including excellent and original salad, by the fire.
