Visited for lunch today, excellent service, excellent food and so delicious. We visited with family and had the humous, chowder, stroganoff, ice creams and a brownie. All tasty and so worth a visit. We will return! The beach is dog friendly so an ideal place...More

We were lucky enough to get tickets for a feast night at the Hidden Hut. It is located just steps from the beach in Portscatho but as the name suggests is hidden away and takes nothing away from the glorious unspoilt beach. Haphazard tables and...More

We have been to the Hidden Hut before but only for ice cream, so decided to take some friends who were down on holiday there for lunch. They were blown away by the fantastic location, and the food was amazing. We had the Coconut &...More

We had all been really looking forward to revisiting this amazing little place for lunch, and we weren't disappointed. Such friendly and helpful staff and the most delicious food. We had the Mackeral Salad, which was out of this world and the Seafood Chowder which...More

What a petit trésor merveilleux! Excellent food made with passion by a group of relative youngsters in an outdoor kitchen in one of the loveliest spots on the south Cornish coast. Credit to you all. Damn good food.

It made my day when my daughter and I found the The Hidden Hut quite by chance. We returned the next day for an early lunch of Pita Bread, Humous, a delicious chicken & taragon soup. Then the rain came at us sideways but gazebos...More

Although this pains me to publicize this place, as it seems already to popular for its own good 😉. We stumbled across this charming little beach restaurant today, it really is the place you're dreams are made of. Really good and tasty, almost too good...More

We generally stay in the far west of Cornwall or on the North coast neither of which is particularly convenient for the Hidden Hut. However, this year we decided to bite the bullet and come here for lunch on our way home to Hampshire. We...More

This is a really popular spot so get in the queue at 12 on hot days. However, they've got a great system that works well, the staff are friendly and we've eaten there three times this week. Brilliant fish soup and several other highlights.

We visited the hidden hut on a recommendation, however one person from our group called it, "the least hidden hit he had ever seen." The food was very good, and the outer seating is engulfed by the beautiful views of the surrounding beach. I would...More

We also took our older dog and parked at the bottom of road and walked across the beach which would be better than walking from car park just before portscatho.

Hi, you can park on the top road car park and walk down through a field (a signed public footpath) to the Hidden Hut.

I've just had a look on Google Maps and a ferry to Place Creek, followed by the walk along the South West Coast Path (via the tip of St Anthony Head) is apparently 7.1 miles or 2 hours, 20 minutes.
