About
The Foundry Arms has been on the same site in Northrepps since 1845 and is as welcoming now as it always was. A traditional village pub and restaurant we serve some of the finest real ales in the county whilst our chefs work their culinary magic in the kitchen. A welcoming, relaxed atmosphere await, complimented by unobtrusive service from your hosts Jason and Sarah. In the bar you'll find many friendly locals often with a tale to tell and our newly refurbished, tastefully decorated restaurant is an ideal place to while away a lunchtime or evening. We will happily cater for any menu requests with a couple of days notice. We very much look forward to welcoming you to The Foundry soon.

We visited on Thursday eve about 6.30pm for drinks. The pub was busy it had a lovely atmosphere; very buzzy. The new outdoor seating area looked very pretty with strings of lights and there appeared some heating in the marquee if required - a bonus!...We saw many people eating, the food looked delicious and staff very attentive. Will definitely revisit. Thank you for making us feel so welcome!More

Whilst visiting family, we walked to this pub today with my large friendly but strong rescue dog to have a coffee before resuming our walk. Our plan was to book for dinner one evening. On going into the bar I asked if there were roaming...dogs in the garden as I remembered from a visit some years before that there were 2 dogs from the pub roaming free. I was curtly told that my dog should be kept on lead and then asked if he was aggressive when I explained that he is always on lead and we would need to take our coffee in the car park as I didn't want him approached by off lead dogs. I said I would come and collect the coffee and also asked if it was OK to carry some chairs out to sit on but said that of course I would put them back. To be honest I half expected to be refused service and the landlady was unfriendly and I was amazed that someone who is supposed to be in hospitality should want to make a customer feel they were an inconvenience. We arrived at the pub at 12 noon and there were no other customers. Our coffee was cold and we left within half an hour having returned the 2 chairs and I also took the cups back into the bar area. Needless to say we didn't book for dinner and I definitely won't be back!More

This was the second visit with in a month for our party, the first time we came was very good service and food, this time the food was good the service was not as good, there was no check back, to see if we wanted...more drinks. there where three dogs in a small area and a white dog was wondering around under the table, I don't mind dogs in pubs but don't like them where I'm eating. We were given children's menu instead of dessert menu, no big deal just went to chage them myself. I paid my bill, I realised that the wine and beer had be left off the bill so we went back to the bar to pay that.More

Well recommended online, we booked a table for lunch. Arriving at 12.40, we were taken to our table by a friendly member of staff, and served with drinks. So far so good. Our order was placed soon after. And then we waited. And waited. Others,...who had arrived after us, were served first. We tried to alert the staff but they were in the 'I will avoid eye contact' phase of 'heck, those customers still haven't got their food'. The food turned up after we'd been there 50 minutes. A steak that was tasteless and poorly cut, with some of it inedible. Well done, not medium-well. Very ordinary chips. Rock hard peas. A tomato. A lamb shank with a scoop of mashed potato and two scoops of red cabbage. We were now in a huge hurry and had no time to wait for another 50 minutes for other food. I hope this was just an off-day in the kitchen. A great shame, as we really wanted to recommend it.More

Had a really lovely dinner at The Foundry Arms. Food was excellent quality and the staff were brilliant - really made us tourists feel very welcome. Would recommend anyone who’s in the area to visit. Just be careful using the sat nav in your car...as they get confused with the postcode - use the sat nav on your phone.More

What a lovely pub , we booked a meal here based on trip advisor and it lives up to its reputation . We all ate different meals , goats cheese salad , belly pork, fish and chips and lamb shank . All 4 meals were...cooked beautifully and full of flavour . Puddings were equally delicious especially the after eight sundae 🥰. Excellent value for money and would definitely recommend .More

We booked a table for two at 18:15, not sure if you can just turn up for food. There are plenty of drink options, we had Ginger Beer and a Blood Orange Gin and Tonic. For our meal we had mixed Olives and tomato soup...starters. The main courses were halibut and new potatoes and Beef and Veg Pie with Skinny Chips and garden peas. For desert we had Mixed Berry Pavlova and Chocolate Pudding. The food was excellent. The staff were very friendly and there's even a resident dog.We had our Labrador with us and he was given lots of fuss and several doggy treats.More
