This restaurant is amazing! Every bite was better than the last. We ordered two combination dinners so we could share and taste a variety of meats and sides - not one regret! Server was friendly and helpful, prices were on point, and we had enough food left over for the next nights dinner!

Every time I've stopped at Black Hog I've gotten great food. Ive had their pulled pork, brisket, and chicken. I enjoy good BBQ and have really enjoyed theirs. Not a huge dining area and they seem to stay busy, so get there a little early. Parking is in the rear. It is also a one-way street it's on, so keep... More

We stopped by for lunch and were pleasantly surprised to see Carolina pulled pork with eastern style vinegar sauce on the menu. We haven't had really good pulled pork since we moved away from the Edgewater/Annapolis, MD area. Most pulled pork around here comes with a tomato based BBQ sauce, which is OK, but can't compare to the Carolina style.... More

The brisket sand which with horseradish sauce was exceptional! "Holiday" sweet potatoes lived up to the name! I could have eaten a tub of them! The pulled pork was good and the variety of sauces was nice. The sweet potato fries were a rare treat! Service was attentive and fast! Off street parking made for easy in and out. We... More

I've never had a bad meal here. This is one of my favorite places to eat in Frederick. The Arkansas Brisket it awesome, but again...it's all so good. You won't be disappointed.

You can never go wrong eating here. Everything is awesome. Just pick something and it will be good. Food isn't prepared and served quickly.

This was a really great meal. The meats were delicious and the sides were wonderful. I don't think we tried a single thing we didn't like. On a Friday night the wait was pretty long. We had kind of a large group, and it was kind of frustrating that they couldn't really tell us how long it was going to... More

This tiny little restaurant in downtown Frederick was passed by for years. We always looked at it and wanted to try it, but never managed to find time to stop. Friends kept recommending it, so we finally jumped on an opportunity for late lunch on a Saturday. The building is really cool -- likely an old gas station garage, repurposed... More

You know it was a worthy meal when you couldn't even finish and the waitress tells you that you look like you entered a food coma. Maybe it's because I had been up for work since 5am or maybe it was really just that good. The ribs were amazing and the Tuesday night deal for 15 bucks was unbeatable. I... More

Black Hog BBQ is located on the outer edge of Frederick's historic downtown area. The old brick building with tin roof has beautiful curb appeal. The parking lot in back is a major bonus given the difficulty of finding parking in old downtown. The interior is as cool as the outside. The vaulted tin roof is visible from the inside.... More
