I would urge Voltaggio fans to take their kids to Family Meal, but if you have adventurous eaters who appreciate art, you might inspire them for life. I told ours the story of how Bryan Voltaggio has earned world class recognition, but that he grew...More

I attended a business seminar here, and had understood it to be a very high brow restaurant. The food offerings are artistic and interesting, but in no way filling. The service was extremely slow, maybe they were not prepared for so many attendees, but that’s...More

My wife made a reservation for us at Volt for Valentine's Day. A week before we received a call from Volt telling us they are only offering a fixed price menu ($125 for 10 courses) on V Day. Hmmmm. I wanted to see the menu...More

15 courses of delicious. Seriously top notch dishes, full of unexpected, contrasting flavors that were enhanced by the pairings. It was fun to be practically in the middle of the kitchen, watching the process unfold.

My wife and I were in downtown Frederick on another hectic First Saturday weekend. Lots of people jamming into lots of restaurants and bars. We stopped by Volt on North Market Street for the Bulleit Bourbon tasting event on their patio. Long line for the...More

The meal lived up to the hype. The food was inventive and delicious and the presentation was superb. The service was attentive without being intrusive.

At this price point and with all we heard about Volt, we expected a really good experience. It was uneven for us. While some of the mains were very good, some were not good. The ravioli was pasty, and the short ribs were great. The...More

We joined friends at Volt to celebrate a graduation a few days ago. As usual, Volt didn't disappoint. The food and service were outstanding, and because we were a party of seven, we were seated in a private room, surrounded by french windows, and quiet....More

You get 21 courses at this table, which wraps around the kitchen. You need to book in advance since it is popular. I believe it holds up to eight around the kitchen windows and a few more 4 person tables in the kitchen area... More

You can find the menu on the website but I believe they do change from time to time, depending on what is in season or available as fresh. It's worth the visit!

VOLT offers guests a menu of modern American cuisine. The focus of our cuisine is based on classic flavor combinations, creating sophisticated dishes that emphasize purity and seasonal flavors that are based on fundamental and innovative cooking techniques. VOLT's relationship with local artisan farmers ensures availability of products to fulfill the philosophy behind the menu, in a refined, historic venue where classic meets modern. By design, the restaurant follows along the original footprint of the mansions first floor parlors. Both the 38 seat main dining room and the bar/lounge open off the foyer. The original mosaic tile in the foyer was the inspiration behind the warm monochromatic color palette that adorns the finishes in VOLT. Private dining can be hosted in the conservatory offering views of the expansive courtyard. The 700 square foot kitchen afforded space to include up to 20 guests.
