We popped in at lunch time for a cana and tapa. Both were great, cold beer and as always a good tapa. Lovely authentic surroundings, and the guys are pleasant, helpful and professional. At 1.60 for both, cana [ smalll beer] and tapa it was gvfm. We would and have returned !

Paco, the owner, was most welcoming. Even got a E30 kiss on the cheek when I left. The place is divided into 3 sections. Outside cafe for the smokers but on the noisy main road. Inside the bar for the regulars and the large traditional Comedor. The Bodega has been there for 30 years and is the hub of the... More

I dropped in at La Bodega and enjoyed watching the Real Madrid v Manchester city Champions League semi final over supper. I sat in the dining room and service from the owner Paco was warm and friendly. I chose the monk fish and prawn skewer which was superb, although not cheap. However, I was also treated to a complimentary potato... More

If you are looking for the most authentic and traditional restaurant with exceptionally good food and service, then look no further than La Bodega. The owners founded the place 30 years ago, having maintained the style of the original "Bodega" (Wine Cellar) and they have succeeded in every respect. I highly recommend the Chateaubriand and the skewered Monkfish - both... More

And so is the food. I don't understand why Lonely Planet recommends them as number one in Salobreña. There is a lot better food for better value available close by and in a nicer looking places. Not bad, simply average.

We have stopped in here several times and have always been happy we did. The food is delicious. Try the grilled flounder. It is superbly seasoned and cooked to perfection! The owners and staff are friendly and service is great. If you get the chance ask for the local rum el Montero a delightful rum with a hint of a... More

We last came here in August 2015 and just had drinks which were very nice. This time, and as there were very few restaurants open on a Sunday night in February 2016 we decided to give it a go. It was full of locals, which is usually a good sign, but of course this can be somewhat daunting for someone... More

Great gin and tonics served in huge glasses. Friendly wait staff, good location for people watching but it's on a busy road so can be a bit noisy.
