Taken here as part of a coach trip to Alpujarra region. Fixed price lunch at 12 Euros each. I've had better, but I've also had much worse. Very filling, good service, and reasonable price. Would go back.

Stopped in for a quick breakfast and ordered the ham and mushroom omelet and cappuccino. Both were delicious even though the prices were high. Still, the service was great and ingredients were fresh. The town and area are known for their cured ham, so this was really evident on the omelet! Located on the plaza (lower). Lots of gift shops... More

Visiting this restaurante was a totally unplanned experience. We found the food amazing, if you are hungry, this is the place to go! Huge portions, excellently cooked in a great environment and served with a Spanish smile - wonderful! Excellent for vegetarians

Lunched here on a day trip to Alpujarra . It is situated in the "highest village in Spain" at 5000 feet. Excellent service, unique local produce was served and the meal included as much of the local wine as you could manage included in the very reasonable price. A great little place with excellent views of the surrounding village and.... More

We had a good lunch here. I suggest the broad beans with local ham. I had the pork surer which was simple but lovely . The house white wine was very good and great value.

during a general drive around the area we stopped at Trevelez [ no real choice as the one road runs through the town. ] The views are better if you go back in direction of Pitres. We decided on a light lunch but saw the bellota ham and just had to try it. And it was the best Jambon we... More

Situated in the heart of Trevelez, which can be a bit touristy, this restaurant offers dining over three floors with a roof top terrace and dining room giving stunning views down the valley. We went for lunch the menu del dia looked to be excellent value but we opted for the main menu, all portions were large, highly recommend the... More

We stopped in for a menu del dia; bit disconcerted when told we would have to eat inside as it meant stairs for my elderly father. However, once inside, the dining room was spotless and beautifully laid out - some windows have fab views right down the valley. For €11 we have an enormous salad, local brown trout served on... From the outside Restaurante Gonzalez doesn't look much. We went with some spanish friends who eat there occasionally. There is an extensive menu, serving lots of local specialities including the famous jamon that comes from the immediate local area.. The service was good and quick. On the Saturday lunch time that we went it was still fairly busy - even... More
