Came here with colleagues while attending a business conference downtown. The food and service were quite good, including a reasonable selection of regional craft beers. They handled my annoying food allergies very well and gave me excellent choices off the menu (that the chef modified)....More

The fried chicken is their specialty along with greens and mac and cheese. Not a huge dining area, Would definitely make reservations. The bar area was crowded but everyone was happy and the bartenders did a great job.

My first try at Fried Green tomatoes and pimento cheese dip. Both very nice served with biscuits by a very lovely waitress. Followed it up with the lump crab cake BLT which was ok but a little lacking in the crab. The Southern fried chicken,...More

Great time, food and service. Fried green tomato's unexpectedly delicious, and the shrimp and grits left us wanting more...if only we could fill our belly's more.

Likely not but if you call ahead I'm sure you could get them to accommodate. If your party is that big I'm not sure this the the place for you.

Description
Celebrating over 18 year as one of Atlanta's favorite restaurants, South City Kitchen Midtown specializes in contemporary Southern cuisine with a sophisticated twist. Combining the energy of Atlanta with the warmth of a Southern home, the restaurant is nestled in an updated, historic bungalow on the city's famous Crescent Avenue. Dine on local Southern favorites such as shrimp and grits, buttermilk fried chicken, she-crab soup, fried green tomatoes and banana pudding while enjoying the view of our exhibition kitchen or the city skyline on one of the best patios in the city. This truly is dining the way the new South intended.
