I have to say this used to be a standby for me many years ago. Good food and impeccable service with gently romantic lighting and scenery. We visited this week and were shocked. Service was terrible. Waiter was pouring pelligrino in my glass and looking off another direction and arguing with me about it being Fiji, with the bottle in... More

Hubby selected a restaurant that we hadn't been to in a while. We arrived and was seated very close to our reservation. We enjoyed our meals and service. I had the jumbo shrimp cocktail and grouper entre. Hubs had steak. We both savored and enjoyed each other's company. Good choice-we both enjoyed. This is a very busy restaurant. This was... More

It began with a five o'clock reservation that actually sat at 6, followed by a dinner that included a tin foil tray of turkey (clearly sliced well in advance of Thanksgiving Day) with the taste of dry, cold wheat toast, followed by a repetitive response of "there isn't any currently" when asked about the advertised Prime Rib, or the green... On Thanksgiving Day we decided not to cook and wanted to eat a traditional Thanksgiving meal. We found Ray's on the River (a place we had previously dined but not on a holiday). Thanksgiving Day is their biggest day of the year and it was packed. However, we made a reservation and were seated not long after we arrived. We... More

I realize that it was Thanksgiving, and I am not one to rate a restaurant TERRIBLE, but when you make a reservations, pay a $50 deposit (required) because its Thanksgiving, you expect that it will be honored within reason. The Management at Ray's on the River had to know that there was no way that they could accommodate all the... More

I've been to Ray's many times, but this was my first visit in months. The menu is varied, expensive and generally good. I love the view of the Chattahoochee River flowing by! Make a reservation for a table overlooking the river. This visit, my husband and I both ordered the grilled salmon Oscar. A nicely prepared piece of salmon over... More

I was going to just hangout with a friend on a Friday early evening. The band was so loud i had to move tables and put in ear plugs! I couldn't even finish my food as my head was throbbing!

My husband and I went to Ray's early on a Sunday, with reservations for 5:30. It was a first visit, and I wanted to be sure to see the view before dark. It was lovely! I imagined it would be the kind of place where you would want to eat outdoors (like Canoe), but this heavily windowed room was perfect,... More

Went for my birthday with family. Food was amazing, great wine list/bar. Top notch with elegant atmosphere. Not inexpensive, but a nice , upscale experience. Service was excellent.

A friend invited me for dinner. It was my first time here. I was early so I had a look around a very nice place by the river, inside very friendly atmosphere and the view outside was excellent. I am a vegetarian and had salad for starters. They had no vegetarian main course on the menu but I was told... More
