Ate here after the Camino del Rey while waiting for the train back to Malaga. Couldn't fault the food or wine recommendation. Great location to relax while waiting for the train. Lovely sunny terrace and well priced menu. The owner was handing out fliers at the end of the walk which prompted me to visit. I'm glad I did. Home-cooked... More

At the beginning no one was interested to give us the menu, after 10 minutes we went by ourselves for it. After all, at the end no one asked us about our opinion of the food, how is this. And even we finished this, no one came. Our waiter was not looking at us. Then we were waiting 20 minutes... More

We stayed as a family and myself and partner ate in restaurant which sharing a goat dish, the restaurant sent a meal up to room for my daughter and grandson. Good basic honest rurak cooking.

We had lunch here after walking the Caminito del Rey. Disappointingly mediocre service for such a prime location However the tapas starters we selected were all delicious and were very good sized portions - avocado with cheese and mango, stuffed tomatoes, croquettes, breaded cheese with walnuts and tempura vegetables. The main courses not so good, and we didn't really need... More

Don't come here! We were served raw chicken for lunch and the manager on duty said that 'it depends on your taste' and it's OK to serve under cooked chicken! No apology. Under cooked chicken will potentially make you very ill! Great location and view but not worth the risk!

The countryside hotel La Garganta is situated in a gorge with a reservoir dam in El Chorro and a bridge called the “Caminito del Rey” which has been restored (ready in 2015). The hotel has got small and larger rooms and is particularly appreciated by hikers. There is a pool as well as a nice restaurant with a terrace with... More

We had a really nice dinner on the terrace as the sun set in this beautiful gorge valley. A nice selection of starters included ,for me,a superb house salad. The menu featured meats of the region. After sunset we marvelled at a magnificent hillside sillohuette.

Had a late lunch (or just lunch if you're Spanish) and it was great. Food came quickly, the staff were nice and it tasted great. A couple shared the leg of lamb which was great value at 28 erous (in total not each!). Highly recommended if you're in the area

We spent a lovely weekend at this hotel and ate all our meals in the restaurant. Good selection of food, friendly staff and relaxing, laid back atmosphere with phenomenal views.

La Garganta is a hotel and restaurant about 200 mts up from the end of the 'Caminito del Rey, (uphill from where the bus leaves.) We had tried a restaurant near the starting point previously and weren't impressed. La Garganta has a shady, pretty terrace and young, English speaking staff. It's not as busy as the places at the other... More
