Another little gem in the middle of the Tuscan hills. Wonderful food and great wine selection from the local area to die for. Very friendly and fantastic atmosphere

The food was very average, the staff seemed to look after their local people more than the tourists. Do not recommend eating here.

The restaurant was recommended by our host as the best restaurant in the area. We came at 21 o'clock. After half an hour we were told they ran out of the filet steak in balsamic sauce and the one with mushroom we had already ordered. We were offered the same only with beefsteak .the eggplant parmeggiano was not cooked enough,... More

The eggplant-parmeggiano was the best ever, so said my vegeterian daughter... We enjoyed most friendly service, excellent English, which is rare in these type of venues and very good food. Had a most interesting niocchi with pear sauce, good steaks, salads and very reasonable price.

This small, family-run restaurant is just outside of the hill town on Montaoine in Tuscany. The service and atmophere are suberb, with many local dishes such as parpardelle with boar ragu, fettucene with cheese and mushroon, and grilled rabbit available. The house wine by the pitcher is wonderful -- don't waste your money on a bottle. Make a reservation, as... More

Well frequented by locals however meals were loosely described "stuffed"...was with a hard boiled egg...bad luck if allergic to egg. Vegatables over "baked" but were pan fried.House wine "cheap" Rate 5 out of 10

We tried Il Caminetto for dinner on recommendation from our hosts at the Santa Maria residencies. Overall the food and service was very good. We were shown to a table on the left hand side of the dining room and this proved to be very warm, but this was resolved by opening one of the windows. We both chose steaks... More

Quick service, very nice food, very fair prices! My second choice after Casa Masi in Montaione! Go there without any hesitation!

While the restaurant came to recommended to us, we were extremely impressed with our meal - huge portions, great food, nice local clientele. We especially enjoyed the cheap and delicious house red, and house menu. Loved it.
