As we stayed in the vicinity of Montaione in April 2017, we dined here passing through. This is mainly a fish restaurant, serving exquisite spada (sword fish) and other delicious sea food (also recommend the risotto al mare. Very friendly staff!

This really is a great restaurant for fish. My wife and I had an excellent three course dinner. We shared all our dishes (antipasta, primo and secundo) and were not disappointed at any point. We started with the 'antipasta della casa', which at first looked a bit expensive (20€), but turned out to be the exact opposite as we got... More

This is a more expensive restaurant than we would usually visit but did so on a recommendation. First course pasta was delicious and I had fresh truffles on mine which was a real treat. Seafood is a specialty and I enjoyed fried seafood and vegetables my wife had the pork loin in Chianti and orphanage sauce which was delightful (although... More

One of the first places we tried in Montaione, and we were not disappointed. Small, ( cozy?) place off a side alley, went without having a reservation and not a problem. Seated and served promptly...truly delicious pasta first course, and decent beef second course...my wife had a beautiful and perfectly cooked ( rare) tuna, and we shared a fantastic chocolate... This was a lovely local restaurant that seemed to be packed our whole visit. The food was good, although needed sides with it as is otherwise just a plate of meat. All be it, a lovely generous portion of steak! Overall nice atmosphere but less good value for money than some local comparators.

Stayed in the village itself, the locals were fabulous and friendly. The couple who owned the apartment recommended this as one of their favourites. Four of us enjoyed a beautiful meal, chatted with the staff & had the most amazing Mille fruitless for dessert. Nothing like the French version, it was excellent & a lovely evening for all.

We couldn't find a place to go on a sat night but found this gem of a place. They fitted is us in. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It felt like a proper Italian family. I hope we get chance to visit again during our trip. Oh and the food was very tasty!

We arrived early evening just before a thunderstorm. The waiters were busy trying to fix windows to keep the rainshowers and the wind out. Being nearly 2 meters I could help out - at least in the top end, resulting in much merriment. The Osteria is a very cosy and relaxed affair with a cave-dungeon feel to it. They specialize... More

Whilst staying in Montaione we visited Pesce Rosso twice. The food was fantastic every time, the price was very reasonable compared with other establishments, the house wine was delicious and the staff very friendly!! It is very cosy and very hot but a typical Tuscan restaurant. Highly recommended!
