I do enjoy giving a great review to those who deserve it, but when I want to start with, "well, bless their hearts ........." and look for excuses, it probably won't be that. While in town for a volleyball tournament at Convention Center, we decided to take 7 people to lunch at Capital Ale House. It was 1:30pm when we... More

Hello Nonnie, Thank you for taking the time to share such helpful details. I will begin with an apology for the long wait. This is not a usual visit for our guests, as you mentioned we had a large group of 70 dining with us from the tournament at the Convention Center. This did slow down our kitchen production but... We got off the freeway while driving through looking for a local brewery, but happened onto this place and decided it looked better. The place wasn't very full but it was early on New Years Day. We sat at the bar where the very friendly bar tender helped us find the type of beers we like. Because we like to... More

Thanks for the awesome review! Im glad you decided to visit us, as we pour more local craft beer than anyone else. The burger you had is called the smokehouse and is one of my personal favorites too. I apologize for the cold soup... next time please let us know and we are happy to prepare another hot and fresh.... More

Staff very friendly and helpful! Chelsea our waitress was exceptional. She went out of her way to make sure we ordered the correct hotness for our chicken wings and also the type of beer we like. She was friendly and took pride in her job and made sure we had a great meal. Appreciated her hospitality!

Stopped here, Midlothian location, after a movie on Christmas eve. If you love your beer, this place has an extremely large selection. The crispy cod tacos were ok and so was the black bean burger but really liked the crispy artichokes. Friendly service, nice menu.

Visited many times, even to a rehearsal dinner once. Love the ice slab on the bar to keep brews cold. Nice varied menu, all served fast and fresh. Incredible beer selection, obviously. Parking is a pain, but findable. Live music, too.

Good food and service. Close to Richmond Coliseum. Large selection of delicious beer! A go to place for consistent food.

Dined out on a weekly special. Great $2 burgers and beer! Two things my fiancé loves. Service was a bit detached, but I guess the waitstaff dread $2 burger nights. Burgers didn't seem to be made to order - don't get me wrong, it wasn't sitting under a lamp at McDonald's or anything, just it took so long to get... More

Thanks for the review. Burger night has been our guests favorite for over a decade now and continues to be one of the busiest nights of the week. For the operations and logistics of this evening we do not take temps on any of the burger specials as this evening requires full use of the grill and burgers will be... More

I suppose for a bar food establishment this place is ok. If you want to drink beer and have bar food then it's fine. But service was a bit slow and the food was average. The fries for instance were chewy. But this place will work in a pinch.

Hey mark, Thanks for reaching out to leave feedback. We are known for our beer selection, pouring more Virginia craft beer than anyone else in the Commonwealth but our cuisine is just as important. We recently recruited a corporate Chef who has culinary experience from all around the world. He has begun changing some menu items and creating community partnerships... More

Had a burger and some fine beer for dinner. Great selection of food and beverages. The service was spot on with excellent selections for food and beer pairings. My teenage boys enjoyed the food as well. Would definitively recommend.
