Great little restaurant in the Virginia Commonwealth University area. Large menu for all palates and includes many breakfast options as well. Service is great, and the food is awesome! A great place to go and just have fun and enjoy the food. I am not vegetarian, but I ordered the black bean sweet potato burger with fries. Both were great... More

When they have these, get them. The most delicious, best possible vegan bring item in the RVA. They make me very happy every single time.

I had the BLT with avocado and orzo dish on the side. Great food at a good price with a casual atmosphere.

My new go to since I have no kitchen due to renovations. Friendly staff and well prepared food in a cozy atmosphere. Seriously, I'm here once a week :)

Great little cafe, funky vibe, creative menu and decor. I had the black bean sweet potato burger (veg). Delicious, served with a side of FRESH fruit. My daughter had turkey croissant sandwich, big portions and low prices. Perfect spot by VCU, parking garage across the street. $1 for two hours of parking!

This is my go-to place for cheap eats/casual food. It helps that it is walking distance from my house, but even if it wasn't, it would still be number one. The menu has a wide variety of offerings, but not too wide that the quality suffers. They have their own unique twist on some classic items (like their biscuits) and... More

Fun, casual cafe with good food. Our server was attentive and lovely in all of her interactions with our group. The fried artichokes were a first for us, and we gobbled them quickly. The rest of our meal was fine, too.

The service was a slow, but the food made up for it. I ordered the vegan burrito and it was fantastic, stuffed full of tasty things. Tons of people, so get there early

821 Cafe has a cool hole-in-the-wall atmosphere with retro style tables. They have a large menu (with breakfast items served until the afternoon) of salads, sandwiches, subs, burgers, pastas etc. There are a lot of vegetarian and vegan options, as well as plenty of meat items. The portabello & brie on a croissant roll was very good and my party... More

The 821 Cafe offers a great selection of breakfast choices with something for everyone. Their Signature Omelets are unique and excellent. They have choices for vegans, vegetarians, and others.
