We recently stopped for a late lunch at Sin E'. The decor reminds me of a typical Irish pub like one would find in most US cities, or in Dublin, for that matter. We were in a rush so choose fish and chips and a cheese burger. Both arrived in about 10 minutes. While the fish and chips was ok,... More

Great venue for the best holiday of the year!! Enjoyed the bagpipes from the local police group. Irish coffee was good as was the egg rolls.

Very attentive wait staff, good food, great Irish atmosphere! Being St. Patty's Day, the place was packed and we had to wait about an hour to be seated, but that gave us the opportunity to walk around Shockoe Slip for a bit. After checking in at the front desk, the hostess offered to text or call us when our table... More

The food is authentic, portions are large, and the bar service is friendly and attentive. Being Irish I love a great Irish Pub and Sin E delivers. Go and have a great time.

Went after a business meeting. Service was great. Waitress was very good at answering questions on food and Irish beers. It was noisy, but it was on a Friday night so was expected. We all shared an appetizer and then ordered our separate meals. There was a large variety of foods ordered and they were all very good. I would... More

Went here for lunch after a trolley tour. The food was very good. I recommend the beer cheese and pretzel appetizer. Nice beer selection. Good Sunday brunch mimosa prices. Excellent server. Liked the ambiance. The only negative to me is you have to walk downstairs for the restrooms, not something I would want to do after imbibing a few.

Great food, great service, would definitely recommend. They have traditional Irish foods, corned beef, kraut, Shep pie, etc but also a great mix of sandwiches and burgers. Food was delicious, cleanly plated, overall the restaurant was very clean. It can get a bit noisy, but people are there to have a good time and enjoy themselves so I'm not one... More

Not much open on a Sunday, but found this and thought it would be a nice option. Our server, was very good, very nice and responsive. The menu is typical, some Irish specials, one of us had the Shepard's Pie, very tasty. The burgers are very good, would recommend. The ladies room was apparently not cleaned in don't know how... We were staying across the street so decided to eat here for dinner one night. I had the fish and chips which were good. Everyone in my party enjoyed their meals. Good selection of beers. We went back the next day to have a couple of drinks. I had the Irish Trash Can which I highly recommend. Two of those... More

Sine (pronounced "Shin-ay) Irish Pub and Restaurant in Richmond's historic Shockoe Slip opened in May, 1999, when renovations of the former warehouse space were complete. Modeled after authentic "city pubs" in Ireland, parts of Sine's rustic interior were actually designed and built in the mother country then transported across the Atlantic. The result is a comfortable and traditional Irish pub accessible to all in the Richmond Metropolitan area. With cozy snugs, a huge bar and spacious dining areas, patrons will agree - Sine lives up to its Gaelic name - "This is it!".

Pubs in Ireland are a community gathering place - a comfortable place for family and friends to spend some time together. At Sine, we've tried to create the same atmosphere with great food and plenty of cozy areas to sit and relax. Our menu includes traditional Irish pub fare as well as American food served with a Celtic flair. We serve lunch, after work specials, dinner and Sunday brunch. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday, our pub patrons enjoy live entertainment for free. We're happy to serve large parties and will even take care of special events - just contact our general manager.

Sine Irish Pub and Restaurant is located at 1327 East Cary Street in Shockoe Slip. Stop in and see for yourself why Sine is "it"!
