This place is in Carytown, a part of town that houses a plethora of restaurants, shops, etc. We met a friend that lives in Richmond here for lunch. It is a small place, but they do have a nice outdoor seating area if the weather is nice. We all ordered the falafel plate. It was served with pita, hummus, tahini... More

We love Turkish food and we were looking forward to having a doner kebab. Imagine our surprise when this staple of Turkey was not on the menu! Not only that but we saw zero customers, heard some employees in the back and not only was there little sign of food being served, there was zero aroma. After waiting, a guy... More

Schwarmas and hummus --- Have a Syrian/Jordanian spice/seasoning. Great food and friendly owners/staff. Love the pickled radish! Not a lot of seating and sparsely decorated --- but we came for the food experience and were not disappointed.

I wasn't too impressed with the ambiance of Doner Kebab. Service is at the counter, but food is brought to you. The benches are missing cushions and the Turkish pop music was annoying. Food was a bit better. The Lamb and Beef Shawerma (Turkish version of a gyro) was fairly light an served with a nice filling of salad and... More

Music is great and after coming here for over a year.. the food has gone from excellent to excellent. If I lived closer to the edge of carytown im pretty sure I would visit daily. The owner is great and friendly. Best lamb in town.

A small place, and it is a fast food shop rather than restaurant. It does not taste like a Turkish Doner, and actually it is very different. They use tahin while prepearing kebab, which is generally used in making dessert. I think it is not a Turkish cousine, but it is good to find a Doner Kebab in this area.

Went to try it on a friend's advice. The shop(Doner Kebab) is in a inconspicuous and less busy part of Carytown with a cone with meat as the sign. The joint is small and the menu simple. I tried the lamb shwarma for $6. The food is prepared fresh and feels'light' on the stomach. It remains open until 3 00... More

This is a small place in Carytown at the western end (across from McDonald's). The falafel sandwich is $5 and is the best I've had anywhere. Fresh baked pita bread, lots of very fresh ingredients, especially parsley. Falafel was filling but not "heavy". Will definitely add this to my list of regular spots.
