Went several years ago, loved it. Returned a couple years later, closed for "renovations". Went today, open for business, no renovations ever occurred to the naked eye. Quality took a dip, but still pretty decent. If I didn't return, no tears would be shed, and if I ate there, I would go without kicking and screaming in protest. Place is... More

My wife and I went here for dinner at the recommendation of a waiter at the Hyatt in Cambridge. You always run a risk with brew pubs since most of them serve so-so beer and below average food. That is this place. My wife had mushroom ravioli which obviously, besides being plentiful and unnaturally huge clearly came straight out of... More

Just had a couple of beers at the bar. Staff was neither friendly nor unfriendly. Just did not seem to care a lot about the early evening crowd. Beer was average - coming from a German that's quite good for the place

Had lunch at this location during a recent visit to Boston, the Pastrami french dip sandwich I had was outstanding.

Surprised to get a seat on a busy Saturday right away. Party of four each liked their choice of meal. Large portions. Had the kale salad with salmon and ate the whole dish. Forgot what beer we had but this non-beer drinker really enjoyed it. It was one of theirs, a pils I think. Still thinking about the beer a... More

I just stopped in for a quick drink. I enjoyed my beer and loved the setting. Our bartender was nice and efficient. I didn't eat but was pleased to see they offered some vegetarian/vegan options.

I used to love to come here quite often but haven't visited in about two years, so I was slightly disappointed that the food is not as good as it used to be and a bit overpriced as well. The beer made on premises is as good as ever, I'm glad to say, however, they don't have as many of... More

Who knows what John Harvard, a "godly gentleman and a lover of learning," would make of the brew house chain that now bears his name. Given that plague and other such afflictions did in so many of his loved ones over the course of his relatively brief lifetime, one likes to think he enjoyed a cheering drink every now and... More

On our way to a show at the Sinclair we decided to check this place out. The atmosphere is so, so cool--there are iconic stained glass windows Andy paintings on the 20 foot walls. Just incredible. Our waiter was very cool, and the food was fantastic. We started with the most delicious spinach artichoke dip either one of isn't had... More
