We were lucky to make an early (5:45) reservation on a recent Thursday, and the wait was worth it. Our group numbered four, and we sampled appetizers of semolina cakes, burrata, salumi and my favorite, chicken liver - all were exquisite! Then came the pasta dishes, including pappardelle with wild boar (almost up to par with what we enjoyed in... More

We were lucky to get a reservation, but the 'extensive menu with unknown terms' and a busy waitstaff meant that this was not the right restaurant for us. It was packed - so must be very popular.

Definitely a trek from downtown Boston but check this restaurant out if you want an unpretentious Italian meal. It is quite popular - their friday and Saturday reservations book up at least a month in advance. What I suggest, if you are adventurous enough, is to snag a 10pm or 10:15 pm reservation. Be prepared to order quickly because the... More

Scrumptious Italian fine dining. Three of us dining left not a morsel on our plates. Very knowledgeable waitress, essential for making sense of extensive menu with unknown terms. Cozy, comfortable, genial atmosphere. Despite having prior reservations, we wound up having to wait for a table in the entrance way for at least half an hour. This inconvenience became easier to... Giulia consistently is the favorite destination for me and my wife in the Boston / Cambridge area. The upscale Italian food is excellent, far better than the North End. The warm and cozy atmosphere is enticing and welcoming, and the wait staff is knowledgeable and extremely friendly. This is your favorite neighborhood spot, but with exceedingly high quality modern Italian... More

Three of us had dinner here and really enjoyed our choices. We started with perfectly prepared Negronis and the crostini del giorno, which was a glorious liver pate. My friends both ordered the pasta with calamari, which they liked but I found too fishy. My dish - spelt flour cassarecce with winter mushrooms, poached egg and arugula - was exquisite.... More

On a Saturday night, we were able to sit at the bar after a 30 minute wait (but no place to wait inside). The bartenders were were quite good with the descriptions. The food was excellent, with interesting twists on Italian dishes (each one had some ingredient that wasn't common). The pasta dishes were excellent, as was the crostini and... More

This place was given rave reviews. I went twice and not sure I'll return. It's hard to get reservations, Need to book weeks in advance for a weekend. It was very good but not to die for. Relatively small and noisy.

Housemade pasta was perfectly done in various preparations - tagliatelle with wild hare and orchiette cacio e pepe both excellent. Terrific salad which my wife and I split and was quite ample, fresh and tasty. Lamb sausage also house made was very good as entree. Our waitress was very helpful and knowledgeable. Need reservations well in advance but would definitely... More

Giulia's never disappoints! We had not been here in two years, but stood in line at 5:30 to get seats at the bar, as there were no table reservations available. The bartenders were the same and very personable. The food here is phenomenal!! I had the special turnip soup with diver scallops, lentils and other yummy things. Un-freaking-believable!!! My entree... More
