The service is great and not invasive, anything that you request is brought promptly, whether it is bread, water, coffee or more food. I have participated in meetings held at the restaurant. It is a very calm, centering place with all sorts of art to see.

This was the blandest meal I've paid for in a long time. The food had absolutely no taste. Server was pleasant, though, and there was plenty of space.

A family of 6 for a Saturday night. Waitress could. Arely understand us even in Portuguese. We waited forever for our food. Bread and olives served as entree were better than the food. Fish and squid were not cooked well. Linguiça was excellent . Caldo verde had no taste and only 3 very thin slices of linguiça. Desserts were great.... More

Very nice servers even with an astounding language barrier. Salad comes out with the main course unless you can muster communication. Just forget the salad as it is not worth the mention. You can have any kind of dressing you want as long as it is there (almost) all vinegar house dressing. Also made the mistake of not ordering seafood... More

Besides my Mom's home made fish cakes, this place is 2nd, I always get the fish cakes here and I also like the flat French fries. Other with my party, loved the Beef Stew and the steak. Very nice and comfortable atmosphere and the service was excellent.

Cuisine is authentic Portuguese. Nice selection of dishes. Portions are decently large. Prices reasonable. You're not going there for the service experience, you're going there for the food. Staff is friendly nonetheless and restaurant is very clean.

Good food but terrible service, very slow serving the food, and slower bringing the check. The staff is overwhelmed, they don't know if they should pay attention to the people at the door, waiting to to be seated, or the people all ready waiting for their food.

To be honest, we didn't go here because it is Portuguese food. We are Greek, and we love fresh whole fish and we had heard that they have it here. All six people at our table ordered the grilled whole fish. For $20 we had the entire fish and it was delicious! We asked for the whole thing-- I think... More

A recommendation to go for Portuguese food was a great choice. Roaming around Boston, all restaurants seem to have the same items, so the four of us were very happy at Portugalia. Other than a few people at the bar, it was very quiet for lunch and it seemed one man was doing everything. No problem, he was efficient and... More

We were visiting Boston and wanted to watch the Euro 2016 final at a Portuguese restaurant. The food and service were wonderful and very resonably priced. The place was welcoming, warm, and friendly. While there were no TV sets in the dining room, everyone crowded at the bar to watch the game! My husband and I will definitely return on... More
