We've visited here two years running with groups of students on Geography trips to Iceland. Each time the 'all you can eat fish and chip supper' has been one of the real highlights. The fish is THE best, freshest cod and it, like the chips, just keep on coming; tray after tray. Ok... so they may be a one trick... More

We ate here one evening, after going to the Blue Lagoon (only a few miles away) the staff and owner were lovely. The food was excellent and my partner had the best Fish and Chips ever. The batter was very thin and not greasy, the cod was tasty and had really big flakes. I had the Trout and again very... More

The food is incredible in this fishing village. The meal was scrumptious. One of the best meals I have had on my travels. The Chef is very talented. Enjoyed everything about it! The environment is upscale, but you do not need to be dressed in evening attire.

The Salthusid burger was excellent. The waitress was friendly, like everyone we have met here so far! The manger even helped us out with a corkscrew to open our wine back at the hotel!

Good fish and meat restaurant. Friendly staff and a nice setting close to our hotel and the fish and chips was actually cod. With the fishing harbor so close the fish is very fresh and everything very well cooked. Recommended.

A nice place to go after blue lagoons crowds, just feel minute drive. Nice menu, tried the suggested fish and chips and was not disappointed.

I ate at Salthusid with a group of friends for dinner, and we were seated right away and had friendly service. The menu has a lot of options, and it is cheaper than most restaurants in Iceland. We had the fish and chips, and it was very good. The restaurant has a good atmosphere, and I would definitely recommend it.

Thank Jaina H
