I loved this restaurant! The food was amazing! The atmosphere lovely and our view amazing! The staff and servers were knowledgeable, kind and attentive. It was expensive but worth it!

I had a cod dish and langoustine soup. The food was great. The room and view were delightful. It is quite pricey but I enjoyed the lunch.

We stayed at the Silica Hotel and added the tasting menu to our stay at Lava. Some of the dishes were amazing, but the main was a steak. The steak was cooked well, but so under seasoned. I don't think they even added salt or...pepper. The steak was fresh, but so mediocre due to the lack of seasoning. I'd suggest ordering off the menu and avoiding the steak.More

After a dip in the Blue Lagoon, what better way to cap it off than in the on-site restaurant. Attentive well-dressed staff. Small menu, but done well. Nice view of of the pool (if you are lucky like us). You are served with the obligatory...bread and butter - in this case it is a sourdough bread and a malted loaf. The twist is the butter - it is infused with skyr and the result is a kind of buttery Philadelphia. We both had the cod and it was fresh and flakey. Expensive, but hey, you probably will only come here once. Enjoy yourself.More

We ate here after an afternoon in the Blue Lagoon as it seemed the logical choice We pre-booked and got shown straight to our table inside of the huge restaurant with floor to ceiling windows with views of the lagoon The staff were excellent, welcoming...and plenty of them to assist We were given some complimentary bread (white and brown) served with a Skyr butter which was sumptuous I ordered the Artic Charr for starter which came with puffed rice and it was superbly cooked, and tasted fantastic For the main I had the Beef - which again was cooked to perfection, a really nice cut and the sides of Mashed Potato and Mushroom were exquisite also We didn't have time for dessert as our coach was leaving so we had to make a dash for it, but if you are in the Blue Lagoon and want an almost VIP dining experience, book here. It's gorgeous.More

We went here after spending the whole afternoon soaking in the Blue Lagoon, and the food was delicious! I got the fish of the day which was cod, and it was cooked and seasoned to perfection.

This was our first dinner in Iceland and we ordered the filet. It was awful. Tasted like shoe leather. Service was not very attentive for such an expensive restaurant. It did have a nice view. Skip this restaurant and order delivery from Papa's Restaurant instead.

We had reservations at 6pm, but we arrived 5:30 and asked if we could come early and they said of course and it's better to arrive at this time because it gets very busy after 6pm. And they said and you'll get the BEST seat...in the house and that we did. What a view. So the earlier the better. The food was amazing. The service was amazing. Great way to celebrate any occasion.More

Lava restaurant is separate to the lagoon in that respect. We arrived around 5pm, spent 2hrs in the pool and then came into the restaurant with no booking at all. They were very helpful and even though we weren’t dressed for... More
