I ordered the 2 egg braekfast with bacon and country fries. Fodd was good not to die for. Friend ordered chicken strips with fries and was surprosed when he plate had only 3 medium strips on it. He left still hungry. We'll know next time. Nothing special but good service and friendly customers would make me go back again.

My family and I go there often. The food is tasty and inexpensive and the staff treat us great. We especially love Teresa. Jungle is a great guy. Always goes above and beyond for the kids.

Very good comfort food at a very reasonable price. The breakfast was excellent. The service was excellent. Upon our return for the second time in as many days, the staff recognized us. The owner visited with us insuring our food met our expectations. Great food+great service=a five star rating.

We came here specifically for the diner's Route 66 connections but it seemed most of the patrons were just locals after some good food. Certainly not a ritzy touristy diner like some on R66 but perhaps more charming because of that. The staff were very friendly and the food was great. I recommend the Horsehoe! As a foreigner, it was... More

A nice no frills diner on historic Route 66. Our take away: not the best cuts of meat, processed cheese, powdered cream for your coffee and if you remove your glasses it passes as clean. There are better choices for a diner breakfast in Springfield. But, it's not the worst.

Had the misfortune of visiting The Jungle. Crowded tables and poor parking start the process. From there the orders take forever to fulfill and the taste is average at best with an above average price tag. Stay away from this place .....

We ate breakfast here Sunday July 25th, get here before 9am or you won't find a seat. The locals rule! Its seat yourself, waitress was not overly friendly nor interested in talking about anything (much more chit chat with the regulars), nor in offering drink refills. I had an eggs/pancakes/bacon special, kids had big choc chop flapjacks. My wife had... More
