One of our favorite places. Prepare yourself, it's like stepping back into the 70"s with the atmosphere but the food and service is fantastic.Love the french fried lobster tail and the cheddar chive sauce on the baked potato is to die for!

Went here for dinner as I am working in Springfield. Got the Lobster special and it was excellent. Christy was a great server and made me a good Old Fashioned. Baked potato with chives was the best.

This is a MUST VISIT when you are in Springfield!! Hands down, this will be the best steak place you will ever visit!!! The neighborhood isn't the best, but they have on-site security and the owner is fantastic!

Went with 4 couples. 6:30 reservations. A mistake. Everyone shows up earlier and place is bigger than it looks. Kitchen can't keep up . Got our food after 8. Salad nothing special. Had to try fried lobster as suppose to be a specialty. Was good...More

The Old Luxemburg Inn has been in business since the 1940's. It has had several owners but the place continues to be the same place I dined at in the 1950's. The place has large servings, excellent food and an atomsphere of days gone by....More

Was hoping for family that wanted to go for nostalgic reasons that food would be good. We ordered house wine and also per recommendations by waitress catfish and baked potato with sour cream chive sauce. Needless to say, wine was horrible, catfish was old and fishy,...More

I always asked myself why anyone would french fry a lobster tail until I went to this place. Given the lobster was terrible before they cooked it it then seemed appropriate to french fry it to try to cover up the poor quality. The prices...More

When I say surprisingly delicious, I mean for the price of a great steak dinner. On the night I ate at the Old Lux (what the locals call it), the $15.95 filet was discounted a dollar! This restaurant has been around a long time and...More

I've been going here for 40 years. Everything is good. This is a nice, but not elegant restaurant. Basic mid-western comfort food. Definitely try the baked potato with chive cheese sauce. Springfield's horseshoe, steaks, chicken. The whole menu is simply good food.

Consistently good as it always is since my first in '92. Warm, professional and courteous staff. Our waitress Christy is top notch. Ambience is 1970's and that was a cool thing. Ample portions, well prepared. Ribeye was too fatty, is the only negative.

There is security in the parking lot because the surrounding neighborhood is diverse and contains a lot of hard working people. Some people, for no good reason, feel paranoid in a diverse, working -class neighborhood. Also... More
