The only downside is that it's a little noisy at lunch but the food & service more than make up for that! Our server Molly was EXCELLENT! Thanks! Started with the Aztec Nachos - very good - highly recommend. The ladies commented that the Fruity Margaritas were good. The Stokes Queso was good but not as popular as the nachos.... More

Stokes has a Southwestern flair to its menu, and the Southwestern food is very good, but Stokes has plenty of other menu items including a variety of salads and grilled salmon. The chicken enchiladas, a signature dish, are very good. Overall, the food is consistently good and well-seasoned. Service is good.

A large family group of 12 dined here on a Saturday night. The service was remarkably quick for such a large table. The chicken burrito was fantastic. The pig wings appetizer was good, not as awesome as other pork shanks I've had, but good. The prices are a tad on the high side, but generally speaking this is a solid... More

I've been to Stokes 4 times. I like their dressings and the way they season. I've had brunch, lunch and dinner here. This time I was less impressed, here's why. It wasn't the food. And it wasn't the service We came for brunch a tad before 1:00, and the restaurant was maybe 1/3 full, not busy, but not a ghost... More

Not your typical Tex Mex restaurant....chips and salsa are good. The guacamole was decent but nothing special. My dish was enchiladas smothered in a white cheese cream sauce and pulled pork in a poblano pepper with cowboy beans (not refried) and rice. Very good taste to this dish. Service was very good. Nice atmosphere. More expensive than most Mexican eateries... More

The restaurant accommodated our very large group. Service was excellent. Interesting salsa option. Had the 'Meatloaf from hell' spicy meatloaf... excellent.

We arrived after a long flight and were seated right away. Our server was really upbeat and friendly. She was knowledgeable about which bourbons were available for an old fashioned without having to check. She made sure the steak ordered came out just Pittsburg rare. She was prompt with the check as she was aware we wanted to be on... More

We went to Stokes for lunch today. Their chicken tortilla soup was spicy and delicious. My husband had the special that will soon be on the regular menu. It was called barbqued pork wings. He loved them.

Stokes has a good menu with lots of variety, from salads to salmon to your typical tex mex like enchiladas. The quacamole is good, but pretty standard. The salsa is very good and has a smoky flavor which gives it a nice twist. Sharon's chicken enchiladas are very good. The chicken is moist and not dry. The grilled salmon is... More

Kind of a Tex Mex place, with many options. It is a warm, cozy space, with lots of wood and both boothws and tables. There is also a large bar. The food is uniformly good. There are tacos, enchiladas, burgers, salads, steaks and many more items. We like the soups, especially the chicken tortilla and the black bean varieties. Salads... More

Description
In 1998, feeling the creative talents of (then-Champps) Chef John Ursick were not reaching their full potential, they brainstormed the idea of Stokes Grill & Bar. Stokes is a unique southwestern concept featuring one of Omaha's best wine lists with over two hundred selections. After a very successful first decade, Stokes opened a second location in the Old Market of Omaha. In 2012, the original Stokes moved into a larger building near Boys Town on Dodge.
