Crème brûlée was light and delicious-best part of our meal. For dinner we had the wagu and porterhouse steaks. Food was good but our waitress looked down upon my family and ruined our meal. Very disappointing.

We flew in today for my birthday and had dinner. I was shocked that we were the only ones placed in the bar area and not the actual dining room. I was hoping that it was not because we were black customers. Sadly, we had...the service from the bartender who was not as attentive because he was constantly trying to make drinks. This was not the birthday I wanted. Disappointed to say the least!More
Fantastic birthday dinner. 801 Chophouse has incredibly attentive staff, and the food was nothing short of amazing. A Must for a lovely dinner!
The location was a bit of a find due to construction in the area but it was worth it. We had the waiter suggest items since this was our first time. First we had steak bits that were amazing, husband had iceberg wedge followed by...a petite filet mignon he said the mignon was like butter did not really need a knife to cut it. Our son had caesar salad followed by the bone in New York strip, he was in heaven. I had the lamb chops, I had to have a to go box it was amazing but lot of chop. The sides were Brussels sprouts, scalloped potatoes (fantastic) . Ended the dinner with a great cup of coffee and chocolate cake with drizzle of berry sauce. Just for fun we sat next to the gold bull and found it funny that they had placed a baseball cap on his head. A definite return A+ in my bookMore
We had a dinner here with 15 other people in their large room. Their wine selection is unbelievable not to mention all the different mixed drinks that they can prepare. Essentially they can make anything you want. The wines that we had were all outstanding,...and although they were on the pricey side, all the selections were excellent. And then we got down to the appetizers which were all perfectly prepared. The oysters Rockefeller were excellent, but probably the best selection was the fried calamari, which you can tell is not coming out of a box, but it was handmade. Then we had our server present all the different cuts for the Steak, with a clear explanation of how they do things. we had the Delmonico steak that was shared between two of us due to its huge size. We asked for it medium rare, and it was perfectly prepared. We also tried from our friends there, the ribeye, which was probably the best of their cuts, and on retrospect, we should’ve ordered that. Also their prime rib was just spectacular and humongous. We finished our meal with their French soufflé with Grand Marnier, which was perfectly prepared (they give you three additional sauces to try). Overall everything that was served to us that night was absolutely perfect. Although this is not a place for the faint of heart regarding price, you know that when you come to a place like this. Overall a great experience and I would definitely either come back here or go to one of their other restaurants for a steak anytime.More
This place was not all it was cracked up to be. The price on the A5 was reasonable for A5, and it was excellent. The brussel sprouts were excellent. The service was just ok. Creamed spinach was terrible, broken sauce sitting in a pool of...oil and there was cheese on it, despite not being noted on the menu. They boxed 2 out of 3 sides together. Why would they do that? They aren’t served together like that? I just spent over $500, and you couldn’t spare an extra box? I called about the issues we had here and the manager said she would send a couple $25 gift cards. That came today, and there was only one. Which leads me to believe that either the manager is a liar, or incompetent. For $500 for 2 people, without alcohol, this should have been the meal of a lifetime. I gave them a chance to correct their mistakes, and they failed, so now here I am making my issues known to everyone on social media.More
Love 801 chophouse. Made reservations with open table. Staff welcomed us and acknowledged our anniversary. Brian assisted us and was excellent. Provided recommendations that were on point and made sure we were taken care of. Special place. Special staff. And the food. Amazing. Wife had...prime rib Oscar and I had the filet Oscar. Beyond expectations. Always. We will always return for special occasions. So worth the experience.More
Best steakhouse in Omaha! Food was amazing and the service matched the food. Highly recommend 801 for a great dining experience
I took my wife to the "801 Chophouse at the Paxton" for our 10th wedding anniversary, and I indicated that on my reservation I completed through the Open Table app. This is truly one of the finest steakhouses in Omaha, which is arguably the steak...capital of the entire U.S. The entire service staff is highly professional and knowledgeable of each menu listing, and they have a complete familiarity with the extensive wine & cocktail list (with 200+ entries). We chose the petite fillets (6 oz) prepared Medium, which would be considered Med-Rare in some restaurants. Side dishes are large and easily serve a couple, and we went with the garlic mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. Because I indicated it was our anniversary, we were treated to a complimentary dessert of our choice (an $18 value) which they gladly packed to-go so we could enjoy it back in our hotel room. We paired our dinner with bottle of sparkling wine and included a generous gratuity. Not our first dinner here, and definitely not our last! We always choose the 801 Chophouse at the Paxton for special occasions!More
Amazing food and service. When they saw that it was our anniversary, that treated us especially well.
This steakhouse is definitely a 5star! The hostess and host that seated us were very welcoming. Our server Scott was very friendly and knowledgeable about their steaks and offerings. The food was unbelievably delicious. The Wagyu steak was amazing. The sides were very flavorful. Thanks...for the amazing service Scott!More
Excellent food and seafood. Service was appropriately timed as we were going to a musical after dinner. Appetizer and entrees as well as sides were each delicious.
A fantastic dining experience. This elegant restaurant in a restored 100+ yr old hotel building had it all, ambiance, great food and wine selection and great service. It was pricey but we knew that going in. The food lived up to the decor as it...was all fabulous. I'll go back when in Omaha (and saved up for it lol) Highly recommend.More
Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies hosted a great evening. The service staff was attentive to our large group and the food was amazing!
We had high hopes when we walked in based on friendly greeting and atmosphere. They have a beautiful bar and train going around. Our server was okay but had her down moments. The biggest disappointment were the steaks, especially after listening to her pitch on...how great they are. The side dishes were okay. French fries high light….pretty sad.More
