Around the piers at dinner time and we were eager to find a place to eat, looking for local seafood, but not wanting to pay $28 for fish and chips that many other restaurants were offering, and avoiding waiting in line for 20-30 minutes. We...More

Ivar's Acres of Clams is on the Seattle waterfront. Both tourists and locals go here. It's near the ferry dock and near Ye Olde Curiosity Shop (which is worth a stop to see the mummies and shrunken heads!). The view from the restaurant is outstanding....More

Great atmosphere, great view, great service! Had lunch here before jumping on the ferry to Bainbridge Island. Try to get a seat close to the window and enjoy the view.

When visiting Seattle (about every other year) first stop is always Ivar's Acres of Clams on the pier. Lunch (late) we both had Grilled salmon combos, yum! What can I say more than we always start our visit here and will continue to do so.

Stopped for an early lunch. The restaurant is enormous, but everyone was friendly and attentive. We tried the chowder sampler and the clam chowder was hands down the best. The Caesar salad was fresh and not over dressed. The lunch portion salmon was done nicely...More

Not bad! Nice view, good food, ok service but nothing super memorable. Wish there was a better salmon option.

Came for an early dinner to meet others after work. We were seated once we all arrived with a waterfront view. One of our party ordered a bottle of wine, and when our waiter brought it to the table he was standing behind her. She...More

I hate to give this place a "3" because it is such an icon. You have to come here once in a while. The restaurant is classy with white tableclothes, linen napkins and real silverware. The views are special. The service is good, the decor...More

Yes, please go to Ivars website, then select the "Store" tab to purchase a gift card. Per RK's comment, we do not serve wild, Himalayan bovine, just wild AK salmon and halibut. ;)

Ivar’s Acres of Clams has unveiled a whale of a transformation at this flagship location on Pier 54, located on Seattle’s Waterfront overlooking Elliott Bay. Ivar’s Acres of Clams just completed a stunning remodel, the biggest in its 79-year storied history. The down-to-the-studs remodel includes expanded indoor dining space, a new massive outdoor patio, expanded state-of-the-art kitchen and a completely refreshed interior that pays homage to our iconic restaurant’s roots. Upon entering Ivar’s Acres of Clams you will be immersed in the history and lore of Ivar’s and our flounder Ivar Haglund. Original features of the Pier, which opened in 1901, including exposed fir beams and a refurbished Galbraith-Bacon & Co sign from the original tenant (some say the Seattle Costco of its time) were restored. With a more airy feel and expansive views, diners will enjoy views of the Puget Sound, passing Washington State ferries and fireboats from historic Fire Station #3. If you prefer al fresco dining, enjoy a stunning, new outside patio deck. Bask in the open-air breeze while taking in the sights and sounds of Elliott Bay, including the tranquil passing of ferries – and the occasional seagull friend. To satisfy your craving for Northwest seafood, our chefs have created award-winning preparations to reflect the season’s bounty, yet still showcase Ivar Haglund’s world-famous original recipes. Choose from wild Alaska salmon, deep-water halibut, Alaska King Crab, Dungeness Crab, jumbo prawns, manila clams and weathervane scallops, just to name a few. Be sure to check out our Pier 54 Fish Bar, which offers take-out service of Ivar's classics including award-wining fish ‘n chips, chowder and other seafood favorites. As part of the local lore, feel free to feed a few fries to the seagulls. It’s a photo opportunity worth sharing! Be sure to check out our virtual tour: https://goo.gl/maps/rG3RGF9nQ6o
