I make it a regular stop to visit Anna Purna Cafe when I visit Seattle to visit my daughter and her husband. Great curries and their seafood dishes were really healthy and hearty. Good selection of local and Indian Beer. Nice Martini as well!

I'm a big fan of Indian food so this place had a lot riding on it..and they didn't disappoint. Its a small place off Broadway and you have to go downstairs to get into the actual restaurant which seems to be a combo of the food and then a small bar. It seats a fair amount of people with mostly... More

On a holiday visit to Seattle earlier in Sept 2016 (my first ever visit to the city), saw this place on Broadway. My English friend salivated at the tempting smells emanating from the door - i was more cautious - being from Mumbai & being a frequent visitor to Kathmandu (Nepal) - I didn't want to face disappointment. I am... More

Adorable space, and really friendly people. Bent over backwards to take care of us and our bags (were traveling). Solid options. Naan was authentic, and crispy tasty. Curries were a highlight. Decent selection of beers. This place is a steal. We were stuffed, and felt like we had visited with family.

Annapurna is a little basement restaurant on Broadway in Capitol Hill. The cook is Nepalese and does a nice job with a variety of Nepali, Tibetan and Indian dishes. The small space has a community feel. They do have vegan options.

I had read that this place had a 4.1 rating out of 5 so I was hoping for some grubbing Indian food. I was rather disappointed for a few reasons. First off, the place is very loud. Second, the food was rather tasteless. We ordered Paneer Naan and it tasted like flour. My friend also asked for a dish that... More

Couldn't have asked for more from this place. From the solid copper mugs that you drink water out of to the lady that picks up your dishes when you're done with them who doesn't speak English. This place is as legit as it gets! Prices were great for what we got as well. Pretty big portions, gigantic naan, well seasoned,... More

Staying in Capital Hill area and wanted to find some Indian food. Stumbled upon Anna Purna, which is tucked down Broadway beyond the primary storefronts. Initial reaction was that this is a small bar atmosphere, not a restaurant. That is, until we found the restaurant is located in the basement below. We checked in and were advised that a table... Found this place walking around and what a gem it is! The food was fantastic! Just the right amount of spice and they were able to sub for brown rice! I had the Dal Bhat Ra Khukura Ko, was the perfect serving for one person and had great variety.

The ambience was romantic. The service was fine. However, the food was average. Although we requested for "very spicy", we got "mild spicy". The taste was average. The price was too high, double of what we would pay for such a food and ambience.
