This Restaurant was wonderful. The Staff are so nice and friendly. I will always go back when I am in Seattle. We went all three nights we were in Seattle. The first night we had dinner in the main restaurant, the second night we had drinks and bar bites in the Bar area and the third night we just sat... More

When I found out that friends would be visiting Seattle and they loved a good steak I thought immediately of El Gaucho. There are several other great steakhouses I could have chosen but none with the ambiance and local history of El Gaucho. As soon as we walked in through the unassuming exterior door it was like being transported to... More

Maybe its because we are from the midwest, and the beef that we have around here is just top notch, full of flavor, and delicious. But what we experienced this evening, was not something of good value to us at all. Our evening started of nicely, we came into El Gaucho and we were reminded slightly of an old fashioned... More

We have been faithful customers and vocal supporters of the Seattle El Gaucho for a baker's dozen years or more. It has been our venue for all our special occasions: birthdays, anniversaries and special visitors. It was a bit "spendy" in the local vernacular, but worth it for the excellent service, cuisine and beverages. Every good restaurant that I visit,... More

Ya put the pieces of El Gaucho together; the sum is greater than the parts. Great happy hour. All facets of the service is 100%. Good, but not great bread. Extremely well designed dinning room . . Loud and dark. Table side service is special .. Do the caesar salad and banana foster or cherry jubilee for desert . .... More

El Goucho was a Seattle landmark many years ago. The new El gaucho carries on that tradition of great food and great service. The only negative was that the seats were too close to other guests. Restaurants of this caliber should have more privacy for their guests.

(Just a little background - as part of my job I regularly hold small dinner parties for 5-15 people at restaurants all around the country. I have NEVER had as positive an experience as I had at El Gaucho in Seattle. They should teach classes on how to do this!) I originally contacted them through their website, which is an... More

Stayed opposite his classy grill and popped in for a meal. The neon "Grill" sign outside nowhere near indicated the charm, nor quality of food nor service to be experienced inside. The exceptionally good 28 day aged steak was cooked exactly as requested with the most buttery and flavoursome mashed potatoes I've ever experienced. Certainly pricey, the wines even more... More

Wines of Washington took our group here. I have fish allergy which they were overly accomodating of. This place gets lots of buzz, but staff aren't pretentious which is huge plus. Service of food was good. Banquet food felt upscale and had a great time. View is pretty sweet too from the private dining room.
