Not really feeling Matt's. I took friends for dinner and was pretty shocked by the portions, and the lack of taste and especially for the high price.

This place is really good and original, located by the Farmers Market. Original decor and staff very friendly and attentive. Food is delicious and good size of portions. Beers are good specially the Spire mountain. I highly recommend this place

We had dinner at Matt's in the Market and it was FANTASTIC! Located directly across the street from Pike's Market on the second floor; this restaurant is a "must eat" while you're in Seattle. Greeted by a friendly staff and even more friendly waiter; everything about Matt's was enjoyable. We were seated at a window table with a view of... More

My husband and I were in town and wanted fresh seafood and this place was amazing! The bartender took great care of us with drinks and recommended great dishes! The seafood stew was to die for!! Absolutely amazing and fresh! Recommend highly! Small and doesn't seat many but wow it was wonderful!

The Cold Wild Alaskan Salmon was as good as it looked, beautifully pink! I requested Coconut Rice, instead of mashed potatoes and was glad I did. It's an elegant-sized entree, so do not expect to feel stuffed. However, the Torched Margarita was a let-down. I had anticipated more than just tart and hot & spicy chipotle. The private dining room... More

JP, Matt, and Anna were extremely helpful on seating, food, and wine for this out of town visitor. I had a reservation for myself and a co-worker who fell ill. As a single diner, I was carefully attended to, with great conversation about the menu and wine pairing. Oysters and scallops, although the menu may be different when you come.... More

The startling thing about Matt's is that despite 25 years in which they could have become sloppy, despite the temptations in a tourist-dominated market to cut corners, they have maintained an amazing level of quality -- and of innovation. We dropped in just as the Pike Place Market closed below, lucky to find a table in the post New Year's... More

An absolutely pretentious rip off in every way. If you like to just give your money away for nothing then this is the place for you. My entrée was supposed to be a scallop and mushroom dish. I got THREE scallops on my plate and very few (miniscule) veggies on the mostly bare plate. No side salad, no bread... almost... More

Had a wonderful dinner with a group of friends. Everyone enjoyed their entree and my steak was very good.....a little skimpy on the size but tasteful. Not sure about the service as it was a bit fru fru for my style. It was a bit loud and the energy is high. Might return someday.

We only had a couple of nights to spend in Seattle and I love that my sis in law found this place. It's a cozy seafood place with a great view of the Pike Place Market sign. The place was packed but the service was still on par with what we expected. We started with olives (different types), a bread... More
