We only had a couple of nights to spend in Seattle and I love that my sis in law found this place. It's a cozy seafood place with a great view of the Pike Place Market sign. The place was packed but the service was still on par with what we expected. We started with olives (different types), a bread... More

SATURDAY 11/26, seven of us were visiting the Market, when we looked on Trip Advisor for a luncheon recommendation. When my wife approached the front desk (HOSTESS would be the incorrect term), she was told THEY don't accommodate seven - not, "It will be 25 minutes",or "I have two tables back to back", just we don't accommodate seven. Rather rude.... More

I always recommend Matts to friends traveling to Seattle for the first time. Lunch is casual, service is sweet, and the food is fairly-priced. Today, we had the best falafel I've ever eaten and a perfect catfish sandwich, while I watched the long-term bartender engage some obvious tourists with superb hospitality. Great views of the Puget Sound complete the picture;... More

We stopped in over a lay over on the way back home. The chips and dip is delicious. The views of the market are neat as well and the service has always been great.

The view is great. The food was well-prepared but not excellent. We had better meals at other places in this area of town. We are also used to excellent food and were not impressed. Service was also just ok.

For sure worth a lunch or dinner. I was afraid it might be "tourist trap" due to the location at Pike's but not so. Absolutely for foodies. Great ingredients, fun take on standard items. I had the Lamb Burger; great and not too "lammy". Husband had the Grits and Shrimp; good flavor and definitely not boring. We completed the meal... More

This place has quite a hype so I was a little cynical. In fact its actually very good. We were there for lunch. Service was friendly and the food was good. Dishes were tasty, some of them imaginative and unusual but everything was well priced. Highly recommended.

Super restaurant, Super menu, Super people. Super location. But you need to book as it's very very popular and not very big

We have been to Matts before, but this last visit was a disappointment. We wanted to share the fabulous food we have come to expect from this vibrant restaurant with our friends from Spain. They love seafood and we thought Matts would deliver. Several us opted for the special halibut ($40) dish but found it to be dry and tasteless.... More

Not being a fan of mayonaise-y foods, I did find the sandwiches our party tried heavy on the creamy/rich side. I think next time I'd ask for that aioli stuff on the side, and that would improve things for me. That said: the bread, the fish in particular and the design of the sandwiches was very good. Quite filling without... More
