Great restaurant and service. Served Thali style- main dish with small side dishes .Try the Ling Cod Thali or Beef Thali. Side dishes are just the right size to have 5 of them with it being too much food. For an appetizer try the popover filled with cured ham very yummy. For dessert we had the Pana Cotta & Marshmallow... More

The food was unusual and beautifully presented. Don't know how to describe it but it was certainly a taste sensation involving lots of different food combinations and flavours. Absolutely loved it and would go back in a minute. The service was great and knowledgeable. Very nice ambience.

Thali style I think it is popular in Nepal. A center round plate and several smaller bowls. Unusual taste profiles. Worth trying. Of the 7 items I liked 6. Service was a bit slow.

I dined at Poppy with some wonderful friends for my birthday, and during restaurant week. It was a great celebration that started in the bar. The bartender… or should I say “mixologist” started the evening off right. While I am sure the drinks on the menu are good, the drinks he made just by asking our likes and dislikes were... More

Good friends introduced us to Poppy and we were delighted they did. They are food connoisseurs and we all enjoy testing new recipes. Poppy is an attractive setting - colors are subtle and reflect the name. We had a great bartender who recommended a wonderful wine to me. My companions all had cocktails which they loved. As it was restaurant... More

We were so lucky to have timed our visit here during restaurant week and Poppy is definately the place to go. This is a dining experience you are not going to want to miss. Great, tasty food presented in modestly unusual forms/ingredient mixes. Very enjoyable and original. Wine list is well chosen and matches menu well.

Poppy has its own garden, and the mixed drinks are seasonal to match--a much more interesting option than wine. In March, there is a nettle, wine, and cava palate cleanser--perfect with a thali (many small plates around a main dish.) In restaurant week, or March's 'dine around Seattle' the deals are particularly good: all this, plus appetizer and desert.

One of the better meals during a trip to Seattle, Poppy was a nice take on Indian food with an American twist. Not too in-your-face, but interesting concept with good flavors and portions. Loved the eggplant fries! I heard that the menu changes often, but I had the fish option (there were only four main courses). It all comes on... More

Sunday night dinner with friends. Nice setting and the interior design is warm and inviting. Has a bit of an Ikea flair to it but not issue with that. Service was nice and the selection of beverages varied and thought out. Liked that they have a good mix of local and international wines. My accomplices had the menu and were... More
