If you happen to have older Bulgarian friends in this city, they will almost certainly take you here. More popular with locals than tourists (tg), on most weekends, at least, you will be treated to high quality traditional music as well 'shows' put on by chefs and waitfolks, like flaming shashliks stuck into the ceiling, etc. Wonderful experience and have... After finally finding the restaurant we were not disappointed. We tried most of the menu and the waiter wrote nothing down, he remembered every order. There was a musical trio, with singing which entertained us . We drank the local beer and wine and were given a local gift gift by the owner. Unfortunately we had to leave after 3 hours... More

Had lunch here during our 1 night stay in Ruse and it did not disappoint. Even my Bulgarian friend said the food was good. I'd the Radomir Region Kavarma which was awesome while he had an earthenware cheese dish which according to him was pretty decent. We were too full for dessert as we had a salad each with bread... Nice place with Very good traditional Bulgarian food. Meat is the ideal choice. Salads and starters are well placed as well. Portions could have been bigger and service could have been faster. I will revisit it for sure...

So the food was amazing, no doubt about that, but the atmosphere this is something else. The interior was like a time machine, it makes you feel like you are in a restaurant in 1920's. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who goes to Ruse.

It felt like in a small village. The decor was completely adorable. The waiters were kind and they spoke Romanian too ( I am Romanian so I was impressed). The food was excellent (a bit too much cheese again). I recommend the Ciflika cake. The waiters wore traditional costumes which creates a great, rustic atmosphere along with the music.

This food was amazing! Very flavorful and by far one of the best meals in a week of touring the country. The restaurant had a live fiddle player and singer and the many of the women joined in the traditional Horo dance throughout the restaurant. Amazingly authentic!

Terrible service - extremely slow and often impolite. You wait 15 minutes for someone to take your order and then another 10-15 to get served, not to mention the time you need to wait for the bill. And this is even for the daily menu, which should be served immediately. The waitresses are dressed like pop-folk stars and usually act... More
