Homemade pasta. Don Angelo knows how to greet customer. A bit above price in town. But its all worth it. Wine and pasta made from a real Italian. Could you resist. I couldn't. Try it

Great italian food, one of The best places to eat in Peten, eggplant and pasta are amazing and the ice cream is a must. Owner was kind of cranky but his wife was super nice, so we will definitely come back to visit and try other specialties

Really really excellent after very average meals in several other locations. Real fresh baked italien bread with oil, parma ham and melon to die for and the best pizza base we ate in all of Guatemala. Its a bit out of town, take a torch if you are walking but so so worth it. Excellent

We had the best dinner here so far in Guatemala! We had the stuffed homemade pasta with ricotta and chayo with the carbonara sauce: delicious! Nice to find a real Italian in central america. Definetely a must eat when you stay in El Remate!

This place was challenging for me to find. If you´re on the main street that goes through El Remate going north, you take a left or go west a short distance from Las Gardinias on a street that follows the lake and go down a ways. There is a wood sign that says ¨Orquideas¨ and points toward the lake, but... More

We walked to the restaurant from our hotel a few hundreds yards down the road. It is very picturesque alongside the lake. Don Angelo was resting in the palapa next door but the server/cook took care of our needs until he appeared. The narajandas are super! The boys had pizza which was average but my ravioli (it has a better... More

If you are hanging out in Remate or swimming in the north shore of the lake, this is a great place to eat. It is laid back and the service is not the typical "hurry up and wait." The pasta is homemade (the owner is Italian and is usually the server). I suggest the carpaccio, lasagna, and a glass of... More

Don't ask questions and just go if you are in the area. Most authentic, genuine, and tasty meal you'll find in el remate. I had the best lasagne of my life made right next to me in a home!!!

Great pizza! Owner loves what he does, he cooked the pizza himself, in front of us. Lush gardens. No rooms, it is only a restaurant.

We walked down to this restaurant one evening, while staying at La Casa de Don David. It is an easy walk along the lake. The food was all fresh, and the intimate seating, with only 4 or 6 tables. The salad and dressing was delicious! My husband and I shared the pizza and it was also delicious. The crust was... More
