A wonderful dinner experience - great service, excellent food, and a friendly, welcoming ambience. Recommend the seafood guacamole and the crab, shrimp, avocado, and mango stack to start. Paella is super!

This is a cute Latin restaurant I decided to try with a friend. We both had the House Margarita which was tasty and a bargain at $6.00. Chips and a salsa were brought out and they were good. We got the Crab, Shrimp, avocado, and Mango stack as our appetizer. This is a winner. The jumbo lump crabmeat and chilled... More

We took the Hop On Hop Off Tour and exited at stop #11. It's a short walk away. Linen tablecloths and napkins, beautiful decor. We just happened upon this place and what a treat. My husband & I shared the combination enchiladas, which also came with a side salad. We chose; 2 chicken, 1 beef, and 1 pork. It was... More

Had a surprisingly great lunch. Ducked into this place spur of the moment and had some of the best Mexican food ever. Chipotle ranch dressing and guacamole were delicious. The vida margarita tastes very smoky.

Great food. The breakfast burrito is HUGE! Definitely split this with another person. $4 brunch margaritas and bloody's.

Dropped in for a quick lunch and didn't expect much but what a wonderful suprise. I had the fish tacos that was a little spicy but was just the right amount of spice. The lunch came with a soup or salad. I choose the chicken tortilla soup and it had the rice on the side so I could decide how... More

We had a great time here. You will be greeted on your arrival with a big smile, and escorted to your table. You're giving a menu card and enough time to go through before someone comes over to ask for drinks, which was great. Dish was served at the right temperature, and plated out rightly. The cutlery were clean, and... More

We excitedly researched vegetarian options for dinner in New Orleans, and, based on our itinerary today, settled on this one. It's a Thursday night. We arrived at 6 pm. They were closed, no sign, no one answering the phone, garbage cans out front blocking the door, lights off. Definitely call before going!

Thank Amy B

Staying in Garden District

Neighbourhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
