My date and I dined near the noon time was prepared for long wait, did not happen, all orders and payment are electronic by waiter at your table. Had: BLT Salad and Baby Spinach Oyster Salad, best had, really! Oysters were soft, crust crispy and both had roasted pecans. Fun atmosphere, my previous visits here the patrons were older, this... Stuck early in rain and thought why not. Knew being near square it would be average but the breakfast which came so quick l was not able to eat. It's the Stanley special! Eggs cold , potatoes just slop and old stale toast with a mould smell. Paid and left and no question why my plate was still full. Don't... More

This was a perfect stop for Mothers Day brunch. There was about a 30 minute wait, but we walked around Jackson Square and received a text when our table was ready. Our waitress was super friendly and the food was delicious. My husband had the eggs Benedict and I had the pancakes which came with a scoop of vanilla ice... More

The first impression was not great as by myself was asked whether I wanted to be seated at bar or table - requested table and the first table taken to was almost hidden behind a screen and looked right onto the serving area - there were at least 3 other tables on much better surroundings -why because I am alone... The food is so good and the staff are very friendly. They were very accommodating to my mother who needed the double doors opened in order to come into the restaurant. They didn't even have to be asked, they just cordially did it. They specialize in breakfast foods and it is the best!!

Right off Jackson Square. Lovely, filling breakfast dishes(specialty eggs benedict-type variations with oysters or soft shell crab, or other delights), including the most awesome brandy milkshake! Even if you're not hungry, go for the shake.

I go to New Orleans many times each year, always for Mardi Gras and this is my first meal always. I do not know how they cook the oysters so crispy and yet greaseless! I think they are the best in the city. The service is so friendly, like you just sat down to eat at a friends house. On... More

We needed more to eat after beignets so we headed here. Cute place right next to St. Louis Cathedral and Jackson Square. I had the Eggs Benedict on French Bread. It was very good but hard to cut. Maybe I was meant to pick it up?

Technology at its finest! Submitted our name for seating, and had a text within a few minutes that our table was available. Server used a handheld device to place order, also saving time! Down to the food.... while we ordered "standard" breakfast fare, it was really good! Creole potatoes were tasty! Bacon cheese grits were fabulous! Would definitely return if... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
