Family of five = 20% mandatory service charge. I tried the fried crawfish, overcooked ! Raw Oyster where not cleaned enough i had shell parts in every bites. You don't get any sides (fries, vegetables...) with entrees, Everything is an extra charge. The only good meal was the po boy with fried oysters. Very expensive for what we got.

As you go in the beautiful black and white photos by Fonville Winans grace the walls and start telling the spirit of this restaurant that embodies the cooking and recipes of the Louisiana fish camps. Beautiful decor, bar service, table and chairs, booth and chairs. Serving lunch and dinner with best prices at lunch. Happy hour specials. Menu on line.... More

All locally sourced food. What we had was good. They were out of a few items and we would've tried those as well. Service was a little slow. Nice people though.

The service was good. The restaurant was clean. We both ordered the fried shrimp platter. The French fries were great but the shrimp was over cooked and tough. Not sure if I'd go back when there are so many other options in the area.

First, let's just get to the food. I had their fisherman's stew, (the small bowl of it). It had a heaping pile of rice in the middle, about 6 large shrimp, 6 oysters, a few muscles, some fish.. Holy cow!! This beats any cippino on Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco! This stuff was freaking wonderful!! The person who served us... More

Shrimp n grits were very good. One of the best things I ate in New Orleans. Good find behind Harrah's casino.

Just popped in for a drink to drink on a table in the sidewalk as we had a dog with us. Asked for three glasses of Chardonnay and was given a bill of $33. A rip off.

We shared a large (6 riblettes) St Louis Ribs = $23.00 Ice Tea = $2.50 each There is a very nice outdoor seating on the closed street section of Fulton Street. Several outside TVs are present. Service was friendly and attentive. Indoors was large with a sports bar feeling, but comfortable both in and out. The ribs were good, but... More

Visited after a football game, fantastic food for the price. Service was a little slow, but acceptable. Servers were very friendly and engaged with all.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
