We were seated rather quickly. Our server was polite but terrible at her job. My husband didn't get the dinner he ordered. When we tried to point it out to her, she just said that was what he ordered. Also, I ordered a side of fries for my son and she gave him a basket. Our drink was good. The... More

Stepped into Bourbon Heat to hear some music and enjoy the courtyard. We ordered a basket of chicken tenders to go with our cold beers. The tenders were perfectly spiced (didn't even want to use the BBQ sauce) and piping hot. They were so good, that the next day we headed back. A power-outage stopped the streetcars and Uber prices... We stopped in here for dinner because everywhere else was packed. The courtyard is pretty and the food was good, but the service was not. Our drinks were also really good.

We ended up in here twice. There was a band playing. Three guys. They were really good. And the two guys that work the street trying to get customers in, they are amazing. One of them in particular made every person smile or laugh as they walked by him. He was brilliant.

We had just landed in town several hours earlier...stopped into a local watering hole before heading up Bourbon St around 4 in the afternoon. We were hailed into the lively place by a very charismatic "door man", and by the incredible music roaring out of the place. We had a front row seat to a fantastic one man band....accordion, acoustic... More

Nice courtyard to relax in, try the local Hurricane drink, will blow your socks off, contrary to a previous review, i found the staff chatty and friendly, ok coffee came in paper cups but this is Bourbon street, the live music was fabulous and worth a visit for that alone.

Went in to the courtyard and no one ever came to take our order. Waited 20 minutes and finally left. The couple beside us left as well. They seat you and forget you. Only saw one server for the entire restaurant.

This was my preferred dive bar on Bourbon Street. Downstairs had a genuinely interesting electric blues guitar player, whom I watched until he was done for the night. Upstairs is a completely different young DJ disco scene that spills out onto the balcony, but we were welcomed as clients who bought drinks, and were not going to cause any trouble.

We should ha e realized when the menu was all torn that this was just a hint of what was to be. To be fair. The cheese sticks were good, but down hill for the jambalaya.this was all rice in a tomoto sauce,3 pieces of sausage, 3 small pieces of chicken dumped onto a plate. Very in appealing. The service... jAte here with a group of friends. We were seated quickly but seemed to take a while to get service and a long time to get our beverages. I had Penne pasta with shrimp and alligator sausage in creole sauce. I asked for a taste of the sauce and was given a sample so I knew I would like the... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
