Ask for a table in the outdoor terrace. The inside rooms are also nice with a French feel. The food is delicious with a Cajun/Creole/French flavor. Service was friendly and efficient by a knowledgeable server.

After being turned away at the courtyard we were glad we ended up inside. This place was great from atmosphere to menu. The "Chicken Salad" sandwich was the bomb!

Food was fantastic! I would recommend sitting outside the ambiance was much more romantic! We sat upstairs and it was too quiet and dull they eventually turned on music but it was a little to late.

Both Petite Amelie and especially Cafe Amelie exemplify New Orleans' great tradition of high quality, high-brow food in a casual, French colonial atmosphere; a good introduction to this culinary city.

A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living

Hello. No, there is no dress code. It's very casual, but you could certainly dress up if you wanted. You wouldn't be out of place either way, casual or dressy. It is just so one of those: 'just relax and be you and do what... More

Please note that the courtyard is seated on a first come, first serve basis. A reservation does not guarantee seating in the courtyard but we will have a table available inside our beautiful, historic carriage house. We normally allow reservation space for only 50% of the dining room to accommodate walk-ins. Additionally, in order to accommodate all of our guests who are waiting to be seated, we are only able to seat your party once everyone has arrived. Nestled in the historic 150-year-old Princess of Monaco Courtyard and Carriage House on Royal Street in the French Quarter, Cafe Amelie is a rare combination of superb Louisiana fare served in a lush, enchanting New Orleans courtyard setting. Cafe Amelie has a full bar offering an array of signature cocktail creations. Cafe Amelie and the accompanying Princess of Monaco Courtyard are also available for private parties, weddings and receptions.
