Just had coffee, 2 of us. The product was great and the service was excellent. Rest rooms were clean. I know it is a 5, but I could have not asked for more.

This place used to be a must stop on Magazine Street. I think they changed owners over the past year and recent visits have been "Meh". Stopped in to get a few coffees...tried to order something that was being marketed and in the menu only to be told that "we really don't make that". Coffee was okay otherwise.

PJ'S is an average coffee house. They are definitely selling the hipster vibe and cater to that community. Typical coffee house prices for average coffee. If you happen to be in the area shopping, by all means stop in. But I wouldn't go out of my way to visit.

Found this coffee shop while walking from the hotel. Great cup of coffee. Gals running the place were working their butts off with smiles on their faces. It was New Years weekend and the Allstate playoff games. The coffee house was packed with customers trying to catch up on the bowl game scores. Yes they have a TV. :) The... More

Local NEw Orleans coffee shops like PJs and CC's drove Starbucks out of the city for a while. Tourists and travelers may notice that the city does not have as many big coffee chains as places like Houston, New York, or Chicago. That is because PJs creates a great coffee that can compete with anyone. Depending on the time of... More

I often find that the teas in the coffee places are not very good. PJ's serves "Mighty Leaf" which is wonderful. For those tea drinkers like me, this is the place to pick up a cup!

I stopped in for a mid morning iced coffee and a chocolate chip muffin. Service was warm. I enjoyed both the coffee and the muffin.

not NOLA's friendliest coffee shop...average at best. both our coffees were barely drinkable. i asked them to microwave mine to heat it...they didn't...just poured more warm coffee on top... my companion's cappuchino was watery milky and couldn't detect the essence of cafe which is why the earlier review stated 'expensive water'... we feel in a city with such an appreciation... Being French (and yes... picky with coffee), I am going to say something I've never said before : go to Starbuck! I had a cappuccino at PJ's, it was worst than any highway deli. Not only it tasted like water, but the after taste was unpleasant AND it was expensive for it was! You will leave with a biter taste... More

Well, after a long day at the WWII museum and driving around, I was in a real mood for a good cup of coffee. Well, we went to the Cafe du Monde and right at the point of ordering, my wife realized she forgot her wallet while I was waiting in the car for 20 minutes. Well, she left and... More

Staying in Uptown / Carrollton

Neighbourhood Profile
Uptown / Carrollton
Very much their own self sufficient unit within the greater metro area, Uptown and Carrollton tone down the urban edge with a friendly attitude and collegiate feel. Home to Tulane and Loyola Universities, all the students living in the area ensure that Uptown and Carrollton stay youthful, cosmopolitan and vibrantly fun. Two of the liveliest thoroughfares for nightlife and socializing (and yes of course more of the city’s outstandingly good food and live music) are Oak Street and Maple Street. For a truly wild time, the expansive acreage of Audubon Park, with its zoo, golf course, and actual patches of swampy wetlands, means peace and quiet are never too far away.
