Felix's is an old fashioned seafood restaurant with outstanding food. The atmosphere was fun listening to the oyster shuckers while they worked. It was obvious they were experienced and loved their job! The seafood was delicious...extremely fresh. Will definitely return.

The grilled oysters we had were piping hot. Good turtle soup and catfish sandwich. Great onion rings and friendly service. Easier to walk in by far than Acme and I like Felix better. Always go when I am in NOLA

I've been coming to Felix's for many years for lunch. This time the greeter was surly as though I was bothering him by coming in. The gumbo was weak and yuck. Sorry to see this old place go down hill.

Disappointed with the grilled oysters. They weren't served hot off the grill (and could have been grilled a tad longer). Mr. Ed's and Drago's are much better. The gumbo was OK. Good service.

I came into Felix's to grab a bite before meeting my group of friends. Since I was alone, I sat at the oyster bar. I had a blast chatting and joking with the men shucking oysters behind the bar. The food was great and the service was even better. I will be back! I enjoyed the turtle soup, raw oysters,... More

Great seafood dishes and shucked oysters. A must stop when in the New Orleans area. Conveniently located in the French Quarter. A well-known tradition for a New Orleans traveler.

I have been a patron of this French Quarter standard for almost 40 years. There are more famous destinations around the Qtr but none as reliable. Here you will not find fluff, pomp, or marketing at play. Simply you find a real New Orleans dining experience. Gumbo is great, PoBoys are always a safe play, and of course the oysters... More

At the insistence of a friend, we ate here and I really enjoyed it. Our bartender/server was super friendly! The oysters on the half shell were very good and so were the chargrilled oysters. The bloody Mary's were good too. Enjoy!

Thank Michael D

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
