The Bombay Club was recommended To Us by a local. We're so glad they recommended. Had a great waiter JT good service and food was excellent. My husband had the fish and chips and I had Ginger spare ribs which were very flavorful and rice was delicious. Enjoyed our first Bombay cake. Great jazz pianist as well. Enjoy the atmosphere... We went to The Bombay Club to catch some music after our dinner at Broussards. We thoughly enjoyed the music, and loved our dessert, which was the seasonal pie. Great looking place, good service. The only problem I saw was, they made a big table right next to the musical duo, the table was loud, so they were a little... More

We stopped by for drinks at happy hour. The drinks were good and the happy hour food was very good. The bartender was very good and attentive.

A wonderful British Pub type atmosphere tucked away off of Conti Street with very friendly and attentive waitstaff and a simple yet elegant menu. They have a very nice selection of gin and a decent, albeit expensive wine selection as well ($80, marked down to $60 for a $20 bottle of Pinot). The BBQ shrimp and Scotch egg are a... More

We had a work dinner there. I would not have picked this particular restaurant by looking at the menu, but I was very pleasantly surprised. All the appetizers were quite good as was my steak. Wine list could use a little beefing up, but they had a live band, which was very fun. I would go back.

Ask for a table for two and you will get an amazing table from which you seat one close to the other watching the rest of the restaurant as you are in a private loggia at the theatre. We were 2 friends there for a business trip, so the atmosphere was a bit too romantic for us, but I thought... More

The Bombay Club was an absolute delight for a small group of us who enjoyed a wonderful evening together. My husband and I arrived earlier than the rest of the party of 6 and the hostess invited us to sit in the bar area in the comfortable sofas and chairs to listen to the live music. We met others who... More

A friend and I just stopped in for a drink. The bartenders were 100% professional and clearly took great pride in 'creating' drinks for patrons. Overall - service was great to us… and seemingly to other guests. There was also a wonderful 3-person jazz band playing. I would recommend it for a classy, elegant evening out.

Went here after supper with friends for drinks. The decor is nice and on the dark side. Food is available, but we stuck to drinks since we had just eaten. The waiter gave us a whole book of cocktails available. There were so many, it took a while to look them all over. He also made some recommendations and shared... More

What a find! An out-of-the-way door at the back of a hotel—which you wouldn't even know to go looking for if not for the likes of Trip Advisor!—leads to this beautiful little place, mostly based around a large central bar, with some tables off to one end and some sofas and smaller tables at the other end, facing a small... We invite you to come in to see our beautiful renovation project, and sample favorites from renowned Louisiana Chef, Nathan Richard. Richard has a strong background in the art of charcuterie, and the culinary instinct of a born-and-raised Louisianan. Chef Richard loves to experiment with flavors, and has brought to our quasi-British menu a Cajun twist. Instead of traditional bangers and mash, you'll find bangers and grits with black pudding and onion pan gravy. Scotch Eggs are served with boudin and collard greens. In addition to our dinner menu, we offer a wide selection of cocktails, bar snacks, and desserts. And don't forget-live music nightly! The bar is well known for the best and largest martini selection in town - single malt scotches, ports, reserved bourbons and premium cigars. Live music nightly showcases a changing cadre of small ensembles, jazz and cabaret performers. Happy Hour: Daily: 4pm - 7pm Dining Hours: Sun - Thurs: 4pm - 10pm Fri - Sat: 4pm - 11pm

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
