This place was the first I've seen that combines a convenience store with a restaurant. Super cool. The vegetarian options were great. Seems like a local favorite.

Not your everyday restaurant, it's located in a convenience store. No frills but don't let that sway your decision. The food was delicious! I ordered the chicken kebab and my friends ordered the veggie platters. Highly recommend!

It was a busy night and I couldn't get in to my first choice restaurant in time for dinner before a concert at The Orpheum. I walked into Cleo's to see what they had - what a happy accident! This place is amazing! I had a falafel plate, made hot and quick, with perfect flavor. This is a must for... More

This hidden gem is some of the best Mediterranean food we've had. The restaurant doubles as a convenience store with candy and soda from all over the world. The fried cheese is amazing, as is the shawarma.

Everything was very fresh and it was fast. The baba was good and pita were very good. I also got the tzaziki which was a little thick but had good flavor. I would come back here again. It does feel like eating in a 7/11 as someone else mentioned but I like places off the best and path.

I read the reviews and decided to get something to eat at that place. While I was waiting for my order I saw how dirty and nasty this place was!!! Dirty doors, pots, floors, tables..yikes..Then I got my order. I had a chicken wrap. Bread was cold, chicken was too salty and kinda warm ish. They haven't gave me any... More

Had dinner here last night, amazing food. Best Greek salad ever! Better than Greek Town in Chicago. Super casual, very reasonable too! Spinach pie and Mediterranean appetizer plate was superb!

Tried the combination of chicken, beef and lamb. All were absolutely beautiful. The pita & hommus were also very nice!

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
