A group of us stopped here after our business meeting. I had heard good things about this place so we decided to give it a try. We were seated promptly and greeted by our server Tylor quickly. A loaf of French bread was brought to the table. I ordered the Creole Jambalaya Risotto and it was delicious. This rice dish... More

We were a part of a conference group that dined at the Red Fish Grill early on in our New Orleans stay. The service was extraordinary given how busy they were. They also didn't have an issue doing split checks (party of 12+-). We had a good enough time with our server that we got together and played golf at... More

Raw oysters were meaty and fresh. Redfish was delicious and the table favorite. Was seated right away at 6:30pm without a reservation. Unfortunately, the table next to us was seated before us and ordered before us, but we finished our meal before they received their entrees...not pleasant for them but our service was friendly and efficient. Would definitely return though!

Big, open space with the feel of New Orleans. Menu features seafood and it was all very good. Daily specials and regular menu items are all interesting and done well, nice portion size. The service was great and our server was very knowledgeable. I would not hesitate to recommend this place for anyone visiting. Even had a local, foodie friend... More

Good cocktails, great BBQ oysters, sauteed Gulf shrimp on grits. Fantastic chocolate bread pudding (order with your entree bc it takes awhile). Great, attentive service.

I was looking forward to the blackened red fish but even though the resturant is called red fish, it is only served for dinner. The shrimp in the Poboy was undercooked.

Had two seafood based soups. Redfish bisque and tomato and shrimp soup of the day. Both very flavorful. Served extremely hot. Delicious. House salad with roasted tomato dressing. Similar to a Caesar and good as well. The grits were outstanding. In fact every seafood based dish was outstanding. My wife was disappointed with the fattiness of the filet mignon. Flavor... More

"Best restaurant 4 years in a row" is written on the door. It deserves it! On busy days and weekends there may be a long waiting list. Reservation is possible. Service is very quick even in rush hour. Fried oyster with blue cheese must be tried.

Ralph Brennan's award winning casual New Orleans seafood restaurant and oyster bar on Bourbon Street. (Voted seafood restaurant 4 years, best oyster po-boy 2010 & 2011). Don't miss Red Fish Grill restaurant's heavenly BBQ Oysters, signature Alligator Sausage & Seafood Gumbo, Grilled Redfish and Double Chocolate Bread Pudding. Casual and fun (a sea of metal fish in neon swim overhead bright, hand painted tables). Open for lunch and dinner 7 days with a lively cocktail and oyster bar going from 11 AM - 11 PM, the perfect place to ease into New Orleans' laid back French Quarter lifestyle or tell it goodbye until next time.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
