Wandered down late on our last night in town. So glad we kept walking until we made here. Service was friendly and efficient and the openness let us still enjoy the street life while dining. The Bloody Mary was just right, my husband said the red beans and rice were delicious.

Stopped in for sandwiches. They tasted absolutely terrible. Do not recommend anyone stopping there. Gave most of lunch to a vagrant around the corner. Can't say he ate it either.

The food was wonderful and the portions were more than you could possibly consume. We loved the atmosphere of the restaurant. Our waiter was James and he was extremely good at his job. He was very friendly and kind and made sure we were enjoying our meal. Between the food and James, our waiter, this was one great restaurant experience.... More

It was great to have a vegetarian version of the muffaletta. The ambience, food and service were good.

We heard the French onion soup was supposed to be good. It was average and cold - probably not as good as Applebees. Service was mediocre. Food was OK - think buffet quality or perhaps a cafeteria. With so many options available in NOLA, there is just no reason to go here.

We've visited many times, including in the 1980s with two hungry boys in two. Sandwiches and other meals are generous here, but easier on the wallet than in similar FQ restaurants.

In town from Baton Rouge, son was having xrays for another surgery in June. We went early as usual to avoid the crowd. Had a burger. It was just ok. Nothing special. Wife had French onion soup and sons shrimp sandwich was good. Service was fast when you go around 11:30

Seating is decent, but you may wait a while for your food, which is average at best. Think cooked quickly and without care to details. Also, this stuff is peppery even for a Southern Louisiana girl. Be sure to mention allergies; they put tomatoes in a lot of stuff.

Thank Tabitha D

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
