this place was busy and we had to wait to get a table. Disappointingly the food was not hot and rater only slightly war when it arrived. The coffee was good!

To be fair, the place was swamped (Mardi Gras). That said, our breakfasts arrived nearly stone cold. Sad, because the taste was still good cold. It didn't help that several tables of larger parties were overly boisterous to the point that normal conversation was difficult....More

My husband has tried the Gumbo from several restaurants here in the French Quarter and was very pleased with the Gumbo here. He is a bit of a Gumbo nut and up until lunch on 2/13/18 this was the first place he complimented the Gumbo....More

We visited this restaurant because it was recommended by a local person. Ordered the Sampler meal with seafood gumbo, chicken gumbo and jambalaya. In comparison to other seafood restaurants, the food is quite bland. Also, don’t order the Banana Foster for dessert. It is a...More

I always make sure to have breakfast at the Coffee Pot on my visits to New Orleans. It's changed over the years but still has delicious "lost bread" and the best wait staff in the Quarter!

Don't understand why anyone would think the food was good. Much of it came out cold, potatoes were not cooked through and hollandaise was awful. Servings were average (i.e. not huge, so seemed small). Staff was great. Coffee was good.

Funky friendly place for coffee or breakfast. The Soul omelet was excellent and so were the grits. If you need a major sugar rush don’t miss the Banana Foster French Toast with pecans.

I wanted shrimp and grits. Shrimp and Grits are a staple in NOLA, I have had them many times in many places. I ordered them here, and got a bowl of plain grits, and BBQ (?) shrimp on the side. Are you kidding me? AWFUL....More

French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living
lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty
Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port
of call for folks in search of a good time and a great
story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs

around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively
well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the

The Old Coffee Pot, located on St. Peter Street located next to Pat O Brian's and right off Bourbon Street is a great location for tourists and locals alike. The restaurant founded and established in 1894, is well known for serving one of the best breakfasts in New Orleans, with famous dishes such as the Crab cake Jonathan and traditional dishes such as the callas cakes. We also serve great lunch, with a special that includes a half of po-boy, a cup of gumbo and a side of fries that has become a crowd favorite and is one of the best samplers in the neighborhood. Our evening menu features the "Triple D', a dish that was featured on Food Network's "Dinners, Drive-In's, and Dives". Alongside this dish are other reasonably priced dishes of Creole and Cajun cuisine to satisfy anyone's appetite. We also offer a variety of beverages and cocktails, traditional mixed drinks and wines to compliment any dish. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating, an aesthetically pleasing courtyard and a unique and traditional dining room with an atmosphere filled with New Orleans tradition and Southern charm. The Old Coffee Pot also offers additional services such as private parties and catered banquets in the river room or courtyard, reservations, and extensive one on one cooking classes hosted by Taste bud Tours.
