This restaurant is in a renovated building a half block off of Canal Street with a gas lamp outside. It is quaint, authentic Italian and comfortable. The menu has some unique selections and the wine and cocktail list was good. There was a vocalist serenading couples during their dinner. She had a great voice and added to the atmosphere. I... I went here for dinner with my husband and our 2 teenage boys and the service was good. The food and desert was very good and it's a little on the pricy side. We happened to go when they had the opera singer so it wasn't to our music taste. The only thing that was mind boggling is there isn't... More

We book a reservation for six people on a Saturday night as we were in NOLA for a 1/2 marathon. Thought we'd go with a classic meal before our race in the morning. We sat down, ordered our apps came relatively quick we ate them. And then sat for over an hour waiting for our main dishes! Being hungry we... More

Very nice, relaxing atmosphere in New Orleans. Was recommended by a few friends and was worth every bit of it. Staff was nice and thorough.

Very delicious food and a nice NOLA secret. We were seated by the windows and it was cold and drafty. Would suggest seating in the interior . Great Cobb salad and flavorful entrees. The bread pudding was just okay. Martinis were too sour and I tried more than one. Service excellent. Especially Brandy.

This is a very convenient restaurant just off Canal Street in the French Quarter. It serves decent portions of basic italian food and meats whether beef or fowl. It is fairly priced. My only complaint was the noice. There was a pianist and singer who were both good but the room is not acoustically set up for the duo. A... More

This was the most anticipated of our 4 dinners in NOLA. We were there for New year's eve. The most memorable part was the irritation at having spent a small fortune for such a forgettable collection of calories.

Eat in their bacon bar for coziness. Enjoy wandering opera singers in main restaurant. Great food. Love veal locicero and seafood martini!

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
