Visited our last trip to New Orleans and had to return. The crab au gratin is worth the trip, I had to try it ever since chef John Besh mentioned it on the show "Best Thing I Ever Ate". You have to try the bread pudding with whiskey sauce for desert. It's out of this world. Have a rum Ramsey... More

We ate here after recommendations from several friends and family members. I had the crawfish dinner, it was a sampling of 4 dishes and it was very good and flavorful. I recommend the Rum Ramsey, it is an excellent signature cocktail. Dessert was the bread pudding and it was a excellent as well. You can't go wrong with Bon Ton.

Very nice restaurant. A little pricey but comparable to what you would expect at a nice steak house or Italian restaurant. In the middle of the business district so easy to get to after meetings. The food is delicious but service varies depending on your waiter. The tables near me got a run down of specials and favorites while my... More

I have been to this restaurant several times. I have always had different fish dishes that were fabulous, with a cajun flare.

We wanted our last night in NO to be memorable. Our experience here was a mixed bag. It stared great with the catfish appetizer. My redfish Bon Ton was good BUT my wife's red fish with lemon butter was COLD.She sent it back. The brussel sprouts which came with the dishes were too salty to eat. We highly recommend the... More

We decided to eat here as it was close to our hotel within walking distance. We were wonderfully surprised as we opened the door. It has all the charm of the French Quarter. The staff was extremely helpful and kind in explaining the dishes and the drinks to us. We were waited on extremely well and thrilled that we came... More

On a whim we decided to have dinner here. No wait to be seated and really attentive and nice waitstaff. The food was perfectly prepared and you MUST save room for the bread pudding. Killer!

This was my first visit to New Orleans with family and friends, and the Bon Ton was literally the first place where we ate, on the recommendation of friends living in NOLA. It did not disappoint. It lived up to every expectation in terms of ambience, friendliness, quality of food and service. The staff were particularly helpful in explaining the... More

Found this restaurant after several awful experiences elsewhere in NOLA. Food and service were great. Went back a second time and had different dishes that were equally yummy. Our waiter, Matthew, was the best.

My wife and I had dinner here the day after Christmas. Renee, our waitress was professional and helpful. The food ranged from amazing to very good. The fried crawfish tails were simply amazing. Wow they were good. I had them for an appetizer. For an entree I had the pan broiled oysters. They were also very good. I didn't know... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
