Great service, nice wine selection and absolutely delicious food. Waiter recommended the blackened drumfish as a highly regarded selection- for good reason. A bit of spice but scrumptious and served with nicely cooked vegetables and mashed potatoes of little note.

My uncle passed away years ago but was a big fan of This famous chef. When my mom came to NOLA, this was on her list of "must-dos". Because my mom has limited mobility and was using a scooter, I called ahead to make sure we'd be ok. They were so accommodating and found us the perfect spot to "park"... More

This restaurant was fantastic. Appetizers to dessert were 5 stars, great service and an extensive wine list. So much food, I only got a blue star. You have to go to understand the awarding of stars!!

We had heard wonderful things about this restaurant, but it was probably our least favorite experience. The turtle soup was particularly unimpressive (more like a turtle chili). There are definitely better places out there.

We went to K Paul's and had a wonderful dinner and a terrific experience overall. The food was outstanding and the service was excellent. Would definitely recommend to friends and family to come here when they visit New Orleans.

My husband and I decided to go here for dinner after walking by one afternoon. I made a call and had a reservation that evening. We hadn't ever had turtle soup, but the table next to us was raving about it, so we tried it. It was delicious! Then we had the crawfish enchilada...it was fantastic. For our main courses... More

Staff here was incredibly accommodating as my handicapped mother was with us. Friendly staff that knew exactly when to come to your table. Jalapeño rolls, fried green tomatoes and blue cheese dressing could have sufficed for dinner!! Amazing!!! Blackened drum is a must.

If you like bold, spicy food, this is the place to go. Each mouthful is a dream. Even the breadbasket is packed with wonderful flavors. My wife and I started off with fried green tomatoes with shrimp and remoulade sauce. The best I've ever tasted. The sauce was so delicious, I was tempted to lick the plate! My wife had... More

K-Paul's is one of my "musts" when in NOLA. It has been for a long time. I am sincerely hoping it was just an off night but I cannot hide my disappointment. Soggy popcorn crab, bland tasting drum swamped in overlooked vegetables and "service" marked by a waiter spilling a third of my wife's cocktail over her and the table.... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
